I got upset for a short while after learning that my Kindle leather book case had 2 small cracks near the metal latch as it has been with me for almost 4 years and counting. I was browsing through my pouch of receipt and I saw that the case cost me 3,600 last 2013 and that the Kindle was 7,500. I tried calling the store where I got it from but was told that they no longer carry the 2nd Gen case as well as the unit itself and that what they have was the latest model (cost is 5,800... FTW it has gone cheaper pa!). My search led me through Lazada. I found one and it cost only 10% of the original price of the now broken case I have, 350 pesos. I waited for 9 days and I finally have the green one. The quality is way below the brown one but it holds the Kindle good and protected.
