RESULT: 7 - Jemma is surrounded by thugs up    to no good and Barry happens to pass by.
Barry had just finished his work at the CCPD and was ready to make his way back to the house. He needed a walk for the fresh air, not so much for the exercise but he wanted to appreciate the slowness of things tonight. It had been an agonisingly slow night with no meta-humanâs, surprisingly nothing major that the police couldnât handle and that was just downright annoying. He wanted something to do! Something productive.
Not to say that he hadnât done something productive in his nights work, because heâd managed to pull some prints off of a crowbar for a case of robbery, heâd managed to get some paperwork done and after that - things were slow, but not necessarily boring. He was starting to enjoy the slowness of things, starting to realise that (ever since he lost his powers) maybe slow wasnât all that bad, huh? Maybe slow was good sometimes.
Checking himself out for the night, Barry pulled his bag over his shoulder and let it rest against his hip, hand resting over the top of the clasps. Sighing, he started the walk, jumping down the first two steps that lead into the CCPD station and then simply walked the rest. Might as well enjoy the walk, right? Mm. The sky looked really pretty tonight, the stars were shining particularly bright and there wasnât a cloud in the sky.
Things were good. Or, they were until he heard a few noises. Some suspicious noises coming from around the corner. Speeding up his walk, he turned the corner to see four very big, very broad men stood around one petite girl. He didnât have enough time to go back and get his suit, damnit. By the time he got to STAR Labs and back - theyâd probably scar her in some way or another.
Taking a few steps forward, he cleared his throat to announce his presence. This was a bad idea, Barry. Such a bad idea. But then again, heâd revealed his identity to a mugger before and they hadnât said anything. Maybe because he moved so fast that they couldnât distinguish his facial features. He smirked, knowing that wasnât the case now.
Looking around, he took a few more steps forward after the men had noticed him and laughed, laughed right at him. Mistake.
Zooming off in a flash, the four men disappeared. Straight into CCPD. Taking back the girls items, he returned back to her and held them out for her. Head facing downwards. He couldnât risk her talking, he couldnât risk the whole world knowing who he really was. If they found that out, they could use his family, his friends - his associates, to get to him. He couldnât have that.
