How Did You Find Me? || Rapunzel and Gothel
Mother was dead. Rapunzel knew this. There was no reason she could think of why it wouldn't be so. Even though she hadn't seen the woman die, it had been months since she'd seen her last. She'd have died of old age by now, if nothing else.
And Rapunzel missed her.
No one ever told her she wasn't allowed to love the woman, but she felt like she wasn't supposed to. She tried not to mention her around her real parents, because they always looked so distressed when she did. But everything she'd discovered about Gothel didn't change the fact that the woman had raised her, that she, Rapunzel, had loved her with all her heart for eighteen years.
And so it was, on a particularly heartachy day, that the crown princess of Corona made her way into the surrounding forest. She didn't mean to make her way all the way back to the tower, but it wasn't long before she realized that that was the direction her feet were taking her.
