✝ : Is your muse religious?
Elaine isn’t especially religious. I draw this from the fact that (modern) Japan itself isn’t religious (trust me I did a LOT of research this spring semester) and... honestly, we haven’t seen much obvious religious overtones in Kingdom Hearts. Of course there’s the whole light&darkness theme going on, and the hero sacrificing himself for the greater good, but those aren’t themes restricted by religion. This is especially interesting when you factor in the many Square Enix games, particularly Final Fantasy, that have religion playing a significant role.
Radiant Garden doesn’t strike me as the place that has much focus on it. I mean Kairi’s grandma tells the story of the light in children, but that’s more like a fairytale? Although, then again, the entity Kingdom Hearts could be perceived as an object of worship, and perhaps it isn’t just Xehanort being a total wacko and dragging the other apprentices along for the ride; perhaps it’s a fairly common thing in the game series among the original worlds created for the game (I would expect it to be unheard of among worlds like Castle of Dreams and Deep Jungle, due to their origins).
All I can really say is this: Traverse Town, being the center people go to when their worlds are destroyed, is definitely a potluck of cultures and religions. Elaine grew up in Traverse Town, and so would have exposure to all kinds of religions. Some would be more interesting to her than others, although I can’t say which those would be.

a hum of thought escapes him , low , quiet , as his gaze moves over to the other . of course , it was only a matter of time before something like this was bound to happen , &’ it was very much one of the reasons that the detective was so HESITANT to implement the tactic in the first place . but once the chain had found its way to encircle the base of raito’s chair , his own quick , brash movement had brought it clattering down along with the teen .
there was in fact the faintest hint of amusement on his expression , only the touch of a smile , as though holding back a laugh . but as fate would have it , guilt settles upon his shoulders and he moves two steps closer , leaning over the other where he sits on the floor . ‘ i’m sorry , raito . are you hurt ? ‘ @onlykira
