Coleen and Wayne Rooney at Glastonbury

With all the excitement from Glastonbury (and the Twitter- buzz around Zane Lowe’s view on a certain performance) on the verge of losing its sparkle, and tired festival-goers (including -albeit a decidedly cleaner- Jimmy Choo for Hunter- clad Coleen and Wayne Rooney) are hosing off their muddy wellies - there’s just enough time for a quick celebration. So from all of us at Renovotec, we’d like to say congratulations to our Website Developer, Nicola Hill who celebrated 3 years with the company last week. 

Nicola told us, “I’m pleased with the way I’ve helped Renovotec grow from none, to seven ever-growing ecommerce sites. I hope to continue to develop these sites and ultimately to grow the business further.”

Whether your weekend was made or ruined with ‘The Hero’ Yaya Toure’s goal, -- or you had to wait until later in the day for your excitement from Graham Norton’s humorous commentary on the Eurovision Song Contest (Thank you Bulgaria for awarding us our first 12 points in years - we officially received 10 times more points than last year! A score which I’m sure Blue will be eternally proud of...) We hope you’re now settled into the week and eager to know more about the barcoding world and hear the latest from Renovotec HQ.



Yaya Toure Enjoyed the Blog

 Our Directors are currently enjoying LXE’s hospitality at their Partner conference in Valencia. Hopefully we can bring you all the inside knowledge they’ve learnt during their Spanish trip on the LXE Tecton and LXE Thor upon their return. This week also welcomes back the much loved Eddie Stobart: Trucks and Trailers that starts again on the 20th May on channel 5. We’re sure you won’t be disappointed by our customer’s latest offerings, as you watch them expertly contend with a rogue bull and celebrate the company’s 40th anniversary.

Also coming up in the next few weeks is the Psion EP10 event in Manchester: where we’re looking forward to the update and learning all about the featured product. Don't forget -- we’ll be exhibiting at Logistics Link Live in Birmingham on the 8th and 9th of June at stand 166, so visit us for advice or to demo all the latest kit from well known manufacturers: including Psion, LXE, AML, Intermec and Opticon.

When writing these blog posts, I sometimes wonder what device you’re reading this from. Are you sitting at your desk gazing at your PC or viewing on your Blackberry whilst commuting? I’m sure some people are even at home, loading the new post perched comfortably on their sofa. We’d love to hear from you, to find out whether there are formats that are better suited to our readers.

March/April 2011

Last week saw our sales team attend a very successful Avnet Partner day with a Motorola theme. A particular highlight was also the release of LXEs impressive update to their popular MX7: the Tecton. LXE also promise a positive response to their latest vehicle mount computer. The Thor (as featured in our previous blog: As the Weather begins to Thor...below) boasts three industry firsts including a field-replaceable front panel, quick mount smart dock and ignition control.

Today is also the last day of the successful Traffex show at the NEC and the very last day of March. The 5th of April brings Multimodal, one of the biggest shows in our events calendar is almost upon us, with preparations ‘aplenty’ almost complete it looks set to be a successful few days at the NEC in Birmingham.

The buzz around our field team certainly increased today with the arrival of their long awaited branded fleeces, courtesy of Inkeeping. Special thanks to John and Jane Issacs and to a member of our team for expertly modelling it for us in a sunny, yet decidedly windy Wakefield.
