HI I LOVE YOUR ART SO MUCH!!! <3 your kuzupekos make my day! you might have already been asked this before; but i'd love to know-- when did you know you loved kuzupeko?? ^7^ for me i just remember getting into a point in the second trial and just thinking "...... no wait. why is fuyuhiko-- WAIT. WHAT. FUYUHIKO IS EMOTING FOR-- WHAT!!!! WHAT!!!!!!! NO!!! PEKO??? PEKO IS WH WHHW" AND IT ALL JUST WENT DOWNHILL FROM THERE LOL *UGLY SOBBING*.....
Thank you!!! I’m glad you like it!! Can never have too much Kuzupekos!!
Ahhh, this old tale. *sits in a rocking chair and smokes from a bubble pipe*
Funnily enough, I was very resistant to Kuzupeko being a thing until after Chapter 2. In part, I had low expectations on the story going into the game. I liked the first game, but I wasn’t super passionate about it. Another part was because DR does this thing where it tries to hide what the stakes are for the characters, and I get it, it’s a mystery game, but it often puts a damper on my emotional attachment to the cast. Call me old-fashioned, I guess, but I wanna know what the stakes are while it’s happening, so I can root for the characters alongside them.
I started warming up to Kuzupeko during the execution, but it honestly wasn’t until Chapter 3 onward, where Fuyuhiko was constantly mentioning Peko, dwelling on how much she meant to him, growing as a character to make her proud, that I was like, “Well. This is it for me.”
During Chapter 6, it was GAME OVER ANH. Fuyuhiko JUMPING at the chance to see Peko alive again was so raw and authentic, I couldn’t NOT ship them after that. That’s why most of my early Kuzupeko reblogs have the “i didn’t ask for another otp” tag LMAO.
And now I sit here in this Kuzupeko dumpster heap, and I am never crawling out.
