Seizure Response Plan
Since I’ve been in school, the likelihood of me having seizures have went up due to stress and/or sleep deprivation. I had my follow-up appointment with my neurologist and had a discussion with him about me having a few auras lately. Tonic Clonic on Onfi?!?
Had a particularly nasty tonic clonic seizure that apparently lasted around 7 minutes, while taking Onfi/Clobazam?! I take this as a PRN 'rescue' med.
It's worked really well for me until now, seriously seriously well. As in once I've taken it, I might get an aura, but it rarely escalates.
I'm wondering if I might have missed a dose of meds or something, because even with the lamotrigine reduction this doesn't make sense.
But while on the clobazam??? That's scaring me a bit (quite a lot) - seriously not supposed to happen!!!
SO found me violently seizing rammed tightly into the tiny space between bath, sink and toilet, hardly able to breathe. I am covered in bruises, have hit my head goodness knows how many times, feeling extremely concussed, my lungs are aching and wheezing non stop, my brain is soup and EVERYTHING hurts.
First full tonic clonic in over a month, and it happened on my 'rescue' meds. Not really sure what I should be doing now...
