Fernando, Magenta and Leonard are chosen to be the first group of three to test out the new and as of yet unnamed obstacle course, which every student will have to run at least once in their hero or villain careers. It looks to be a worthy successor of “Save the Citizen”. Coach Boomer personally oversaw the project from start to finish.  I caught up with Fernando, Magenta and Leonard to hear all about their reactions and thanks to my powers and to a bit of luck, I found Captain Cold first.

 ❝ Who cares? It’s overrated, ❞ says the young ice wielder. Freeze Girl’s cousin isn’t the one to mince words.  ❝  If we’re supposed to do the obstacle course, then I am, at least, glad that it’s with semi competent people.❞

And there you have it. Captain Cold’s schedule is busy and, not willing to keep him any longer than I have to, I let him go and went to search for the female of the trio. Magenta Queen is usually found wherever Zach Braun, Ethan Daniels, Layla Williams, Warren Peace and Will Stronghold are and today is no exception.

Her friends cheer and holler once I explain why I’m here and before I can ask the questions that you readers have been dying to know, Layla Williams, gentle and kind, pitches in with the fact that they’re very proud of Magenta for being chosen. Ethan Daniels nods and the rest of the group agrees as well.

Aww, doesn’t it warm your heart? I know it does mine.

Magenta puts her phone away for the time being and straightens up so she can look at me. She’s dyed her hair pink recently; the color suits her and the sarcastic smirk she’s so well known for blossoms on her lips once the interview begins. ❝ Honestly, I didn’t expect to be chosen at all. I figured it’d be our resident hothead. But I know Sucre and Snart well enough. I’ve worked together on a few projects with the former. And I like to think that I’m friends with the latter. So, yeah, we’ll be fine. We’ll totally dominate! ❞ She winks and continues:  ❝ Coach Boomer may be an asshole, but I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t curious about the whole damn thing, you get me? ❞

We get her, don’t we readers? 

After miss Queen, whose heroine nicknames seem to change by the minute, has said her piece, I leave her and her group of friends be. The only person whom I’ve yet to interview is mister Sucre and I find him in the White Room, which tells me one thing and one thing only: detention. 

Fernando tells me that it’s not his fault, the numerous detention trips he gets, that he doesn’t mean to get into trouble but that trouble finds him instead. I’m willing to believe that. With his twinkling brown eyes, a crooked smile and a warm timbre, he’s the kind of person you’d want to go to for a hug.

❝ I dunno, it looks to be fun. It’s kinda like that one TV show---what’s the name again? Ah, Wipeout. ❞

I ask if he would compete in Wipeout if given the chance. He laughs. It’s neither a yes nor a no. We talk some more and slowly but surely our interview comes to an end. As I wrap things up, I’m amused by the fact that I’m still curious as to how mister Sucre would fare if he were to compete in Wipeout but, then again, that is a story for another issue.                                                       

“---I can’t believe I’m saying this but maybe we should hatch a plan together. Those lunch ladies...” Magenta shook her head. “...I underestimated them. Ethan warned me, told me not to. But I did it anyway. So,” the girl inclined her head, “what’s the game plan, Doohicky?”
