Today weāre back at 2 Harbor Road so that I can show off the interior of Skinnyās Scrap and Gas, originally a grocery store/diner rabbit hole inĀ @one-plumbobāās world, Pleasant Isle. The exterior shots of my opened up version of the rabbit hole can be found here, and includes this image of the front entrance:
which Iāve decided to use as a transition shot leading into the reception area shared immediately below:
As I mentioned in the last post, these builds and renovations are all workās in progress. Although some of them Iām moreĀ ādone withā than others, this build I already intend to decorate a bit more. For example, Iād like to add a plant to the table in the forefront (something tall that I will pretend is meant to be plastic, although as we cannot water houseplants in ts3 they all kind of are) of the above shot, and also some advertisements and automotive related wall art on the wall beside that same table.
Here are some other angles of this room:
I think I will also change the walls in the reception room to the same paneling thatās in the garage (which you will see later). I donāt mind it for the room through the arch there, but after looking at these I donāt like that plan white paint (I think this is paint and not wallpaper) running through out the whole interior like that.
Through the arch I have a little cafeteria set aside for my employees. Skinny will primarily work alone, but maybe Iāll use that one mod by Arsil to have someone back behind the counter. Additionally, one of Skinnyās nephews is an odd jobs man, so I plan to have him occasionally help out.
Iām going to go back in and add a counter, sink, microwave and mini fridge to this room. Not sure what I was thinking when I first set things up that I didnāt do that in the first place. I might also remove one of those tables. Itās not going to be enough people working there to occupy them, especially if that book shelf attracts so many sims that the read there instead of the reception area, and I have to replace the arch with a specified locked door using MC.
Behind the counter on the same side as the arch:
Through that door is Skinnyās office.
If I donāt use Arsilās mod, but Zerbuās instead, the computer will also be a part of the person who works the counterās job. If I decide to set up an inventorās table (writing this is making me think about all the ways to make this place more usable, lol), I can pretend Skinnyās employee orders parts and other inventory (scrap) while on the clock.
Iāll share the interior images of the garage next week, but for now, laugh with me as I once again realize I forgot to place any lights in this build, lol.
