same here omfg i hope it just ends up being a thing that was blown way out of proportion and never an actual threat. i'll probs be heading to bed soon too, so nighty night bb cakes! :D

not as often as they used to be from what I remember growing up. I remember always experiencing them at night or in the afternoon or I’d wake up and my parents would be like “omg did the earthquake not wake you up last night???” and yeah, i guess that the scarcity of them just adds to the fear of “the big one”? and since a bunch of other countries have had devastating earthquakes, that fear is always there but hopefully it ain’t happening in my lifetime. 

they're definitely scary the first time you feel one, especially the bigger ones, but you kinda get used to them when they keep happening. although i will admit that people are awfully jumpy when we get 'em bc we're expecting "the big one" eventually (aka a huge ass earthquake that'll fuck shit up)

in which case, that was one big fucking earthquake. but it’s probs just a smaller one like 4.6 or something that just hit my neck of the woods
