With a picture of you,

My most precious possession,

Has been cheated of her love,

Gave her heart and more,

Until all was not enough,

If there is justice,

It is far,

In lands where love is soft,

I wish she could have settled there,

You were magnetic,

A star so bright and full of life,

I never stood a chance,

Unable to pull away,

A final violent dance.

My heart ablaze,

The ozone burns,

A meteoric crash,

All of you turned all of me,

Kindness is a choice,

For which I've dearly bled,

And perhaps I am naïve,

But I'm not done bleeding yet,

If pain is what I risk,

Then hurt me hundredfold,

I will die a warm man if I must,

I found a fire,

Burning blue,

That with it's flicker,

Filled my view,

For hours on,

It's flames performed,

And I hadn't noticed,

Rise with the moon,

Set at sunrise,

Falling deeper,

Drowning in dark skies,

Time is melting,

Don't know the date,

Days are bleeding,

This moat around my heart,

I can't embrace you at arms length,

Today I cooked,

A whole new dish,

Did my laundry,

Fed my fish,

And while that's not,

My most fun day,

I'm just a bit proud,
