So I don't get to share a lot about my interest in marijuana because even though it's becoming more accepted, the whole ordeal with its legalization and the implications of it make it... not such a shareable subject yet. At least, not in the way we can share with coworkers that we're gonna toss back a few margaritas over the weekend with our girlfriends. There's still very much a distinct separation there. My rule of thumb has always been the same for marijuana as it has been for alcohol: do it responsibly and know your limitations.
I've cut back on my weed usage A LOT because I truly believe that it was causing me issues with my IBS, as well as with my anxiety medication. Unfortunately, because it isn't legal on the federal level yet, it makes it extremely difficult for places to legally research it, for both its advantages and disadvantages. There is so much more that can be studied, and it just irks me that we can't.
With the new discoveries I've made in how weed has been affecting my body, I've now cut back to smoking once every couple weeks, and I will only take a small amount of an edible if I'm experiencing pain that's severe enough to where Advil and Tylenol won't do the trick. I definitely feel an improvement, and I'm glad that I have enough self control to where I can still occasionally partake without stirring anything up.
I just got a new one-hitter today because my original one broke (rolled off the bench on my front porch and cracked when it hit the concrete). And I must say, this one is a huge improvement, mostly because I can take the mouth piece off to clean it. Anyone who has used a chillum knows they're a pain to clean most of the time, so I really like the design of this one. The wooden piece is made from alpine, and it has an easy grip as well. I won't be able to try it until next week since I'm following my every two weeks rule, but the design alone has me eager to see just how smooth the drag will be.
There's still a lot of research to be done on cannabis, and I hope that one day, we can really get into it's chemical makeup and see just exactly how it operates.
