Ondine ran as fast as she could. She didn't want to think about Ragno or Hilal or the Dragons or anyone... She just wanted to lock herself in her room and never get out.
The gondola trip felt like ages, lucky for her, she was alone and no one could see her in the hospital gown she was given. She still had Behemoth's jacket covering her though, so that was helpful.
She had time to catch her breath and stop crying and trembling during the trip back to Kal Asterock, but Ragno's worried expression couldn't leave her mind. She wanted to see her face, to hear her voice, but everything got distorted to leeched Ragno or dying Ragno.
Ondine shook her head, arriving at the school grounds and running to her room, choosing to go through the darkest places where no one went through so no one could see her. But that would end up backfiring when she felt something.
In the blink of an eye, something had taken over her. She couldn't move her body and it was as she was seeing a movie through her own eyes. She was only a spectator of her own life and she knew damn well what it was.
"Oh, this is Behemoth's jacket, I should return it to him n_n"
No wait, I don't want to face him.
But Ondine's voice didn't come out. Her body walked on its own towards her teammate's dorm room, knocking on the door and patiently waiting while humming a song.
Ondine felt sick.
