It has been 10 years since the movie that changed my life came out. It’s the reason I not only made a tumblr account but also made tumblr my “home base” website (as it had previously been deviantART), and it’s likely the reason I know you all, today.
This fandom is a genuine treasure to me. The sheer output of thought, humor and creativity that came in all the essays, fanfics, edits, drawings, comics, animations, ask blogs, roleplay accounts, cosplays, memes - it’s truly legendary. The love we all had for each other in the face of everyone who decided we weren’t allowed to have fun, the fandomwide AUs and events, the tinychats, the watch parties, even the collective de-onceler-ization of ask blogs, showed how much of a community we really were. These are days I look back on, fondly, and I’ll always have a special place in my heart reserved just for the Lorax/Once-ler Fandom. Love you guys.
