So is Hail's gender selectable/player determined?
If OMORI 2 was a real game, then yeah, I would like to include that feature if it was feasible. However, I mainly just draw Hail/Omori's non-binary variant.

OMORI 2 (spoiler warning for OMORI)
I highly doubt that there will ever be an official sequel to OMORI. However, the idea of it is fun to play with.
Let's get the most obvious thing out of the way: No matter which way you slice it, OMORI's story is complete, done, tied up with a bow. A direct sequel, prequel, or midquel game would be nigh impossible to pull off well. The story is just too self-contained to allow an entirely new game that branches off of it, and I am extremely annoyed that people think otherwise. A continuation would work better in the form of something like a short story or comic, not a full-fledged 25-hour RPG.

Encounter
Sorry for the sluggish posting on here. Final weeks of university are putting me through the wringer, and I’ve been using my little free time on other stuff (*cough cough* Animal Crossing).
Luckily, summer vacation will start in mid-to-late May, so have some shitposts to tie you over until then.

Hail's work uniform. They work at a post office just a couple of blocks away from their apartment complex (fortunately for them).
The idea was heavily inspired by the song Post Shelter by inabakumori, which, again, has that seasonal theme. If OMORI 2 was a real game, it could potentially work for a "good ending" song.
Have you ever thought of actually wanting to turn this in project into a mod or something? Based on what I've seen, this would make for something really cool- The Omori modding community is consistently growing and has a lot of cool projects. Might be helpful to have a group of people to formulate and solidify ideas with than having a lot of different opinions all coming in at once lol.
I have thought about that, and a full-on mod/game would be awesome, but I don't know the first thing about modding or RPG Maker. Even if I were to teach myself, that sounds like a lot of work. Plus, I would likely have to recruit composers, other artists, and people who actually know how to mod. Maybe just a small demo or something...
And as you probably figured out, the story is still heavily under construction. Creating a smaller team of people to bounce ideas around could possibly help remedy that... maybe.
The other day, I was listening to the Four Winds albums by The Oh Hellos (great songs btw), and it got me thinking.
A theme that the albums heavily explore is cycles. Cycles of the four seasons, cycles of things being broken and repaired, cycles of losing and finding meaning.
I kind of want to play with that idea a bit in OMORI 2. The idea that we break and we heal, and that people change for the worse or the better, and that despite it all, life is still worth living... something that we should be reminded of every once in a while.
Of course, I've already established the four Crystals of the Seasons that keep the balance of Headspace, which could feed into that idea of cycles.
I don't know, it's just a thought.
