For all her lies and posturing, the delicate lace and pastel colors, the gentle and sophisticated language that she deployed there would always be something monstrous hiding just beneath the skin that could never be escaped from. Not that sheâd ever want too, truthfully, as in those moments where the beast was allowed to run free she felt nothing less than an addictive euphoria.Â
Thankfully there was always worthy fodder for the feed. Proud upstarts whoâd heard her name whispered in the alleys, who dug a little too far into the past to learn of her crimes, young men and women who knew nothing more than trying to use her head as a trophy.Â
It was a shame about her latest one though; a boy no more than twenty, untrained, and far too ballsy. Sheâd tried to tell him to turn around, to send someone else, but heâd resisted. Now he was nothing more than a mangled corpse left to rot in some dumpster as she swayed along the alleyâs, blissfully licking the remnants of his blood from her fingers as she entirely ignored the fact sheâd yet to warm her ashen white skin, or that she was splattered in the blood of her meal.
Slumping near the edge of the wall, just barely concealed into the dark, she watched people pass by as quiet little whispers told her to reach out and drag them back. She wanted more, she always did, but she resisted the spark in her muscles that wanted to act on the impulse. It wasnât until she heard someone behind her, close, familiar, that she was partially pulled from her dangerous little high as she rolled her head back over her shoulder to offer a bloodstained grin to the man. âHello,â she purred deep in her chest, âcare for a lick?â
