I find it odd

How some people can't find greatness

In themselves

and around them

Every day we are given greatness.

And it all depends on the way we take it.

Not outwardly happy.

But content with myself.

I occasionally indulge.

Taking the cookies, off the shelf.

Sometimes I want to call it self control.

But maybe I don't dabble in the little things enough.

Sure I appreciate them as they pass me by,

but do I do it enough?

Giggle, laugh, chuckle.

I like my witty jokes.

Never really a permanent smile,

my happiness shrouded and cloaked.

Greatness comes, with openness of mind.

Great happiness comes from leaving the past behind.

True happiness, to someone like me

Is the knowledge of my thoughts,

a state of mind if you will.

The state of knowing,

heh, or at least thinking you know,

Bringing a prolonged comfort,

and contentment with yourself.

Completely open minded,

try it, find out on your own.
