Honestly he's pretty nice in that scene, him thinking Iris is weak is somewhat normal since she's a young teen, many thinks he's being judgy towards her cause she's a girl or she look frail but the truth is that he probably doesn't want a kid on the battlefield
For the brother thing ... eh ... that's more complicated then that, firstly because Caïn is the least worst thing that happened to him, it's a "betrayal" (Caïn wasn't trully conscious of what he was doing), it hurted, but considering all the things related to the Scarlett King, he has more trauma to unpack then just Caïn
Secondly, he has somewhat good reasons to not open up, Omega7 is probably not that group, most probably don't like him and would probably not want to listen to him or would even mock him, they aren't trained professionals, Iris is too young for him to talk about that type of stuff. If he has to open up to someone, that would be Doctor Glass or someone trained for that type of stuff
Thirdly, Opening up about your past is hard, like, really hard, something hurting you doesn't mean that you will think about opening up about it
