I wanted my character's outfits to change as their stories progressed, so here is Kaahnaah's Shili outfit, the one you'll see in the first few chapters of Olypica! Here are a few quick notes about her design! ☆ Her corset is made of Olak turtles- a dark navy aquatic species that lives close to the Verloekadu village! ☆ Her headband is fashioned out of malachite beads, which, to the Verloekadu, are considered to be lucky and sacred. ☆ The blue/muted color scheme is meant to represent the more natural dyes the Verloekadu would use, as they much prefer the traditional ways of weaving cloth without the use of synthetic dyes. Although I’ve still got a lot of work to do (we’re only in the Prelude, after all), I’m still proud to look back at all I’ve accomplished, and I hope to share more past pieces of concept art soon!

In a similar vein to the post I had earlier, here is the original look-test for Olypica! I wanted to get the style down, and- at the time- I think I achieved it. The whole artstyle of Olypica was based on the early 2000s Clone Wars cartoons, along with a couple other inspirations.

Once the true style debutes in the comics, I certainly plan on changing a few things. I want my backgrounds to be more refined, my lineart to be colored, things like that.

She’s a fun, spunky nautolan who is one of the first joining Kaahnaah on her adventures. Some of the stuff on here is no longer relavent, unfortunately, as this ref sheet was drawn back in April or so lol
