there’s actually been more west wing on my dash than there has been pretty much ever, I am absolutely loving it. like I literally grew up watching it, remember taping it during the week so we could watch it over dinner on Sundays, it was absolutely a formative show for me, which explains so many things lmaooo

and it’s one of those shows that yeah I can acknowledge the problems and the issues that they handled poorly, but it’s human enough that you know what, I’m okay acknowledging the issues. there’s literally nothing else out there like it. I have such a hard time watching other political dramas because I always hold them up to the west wing. and I don’t know how they did it, how they managed to balance the issues with the people and create the story they did, but whatever it was, it still holds up all these years later. it’s one of the only shows that I can comfortably rewatch again and again.
