My arrowlantern heart can't get over the fact that Hal Jordan was canonically the first one to nominate Oliver Queen for JLA membership (Justice League of America #4 (May 1961).
I am about 99% sure that this issue is the very first comic where they interact. Green Lantern proposes Green Arrow as next JLA inductee on page 5, and the two aren't even in same room together until page 24.
Because only one new member can be named at a time, the JLA engages in an hour of friendly debate before Green Arrow's nomination is unanimously approved. (tfw when you spend a full hour hyping up your man-crush until even fucking Batman is forced to concede defeat.)
Later in the issue--and as far as I can tell, the very first in-person interaction Hal and Ollie have w/ each other--Ollie saves Hal (and the rest of the JLA tbf) from a death-trap.
All hail the conquering hero and newest Justice Leaguer!
(I see your hand, Harold Jordan. I see your hand wrapped tightly around your new bestie's thigh. You ain't subtle, sir. )
This issue came out in May 1961--9 years before the Green Lantern/Green Arrow team-up series. Heck, it came out 8 years before the Neal Adams redesign of Green Arrow's costume (which was the debut of Oliver's now-iconic facial hair).
It's just insane to me that Hal and Ollie having each other's back literally predates --not only their road trip situationship but even--Oliver's silly little beard.
Incredibly annoying for my brain to decide it wants to hyperfocus on OllieHal when I barely know Oliver Queen.
Before i know them i hate the color green soooo Much. And now?? Yeah
The costume in question:
