I guess it's something like "ziemisty" (earth/soil-like) in Polish, then. The word has a negative connotation, though, as it's a possible sign of an illness.

I'd like to say my opinion about Sicilian colour skin
According to us Sicilians, the colour of our skin has never been an important detail. For us is something so natural having a white skin and blue eyes or being olive-skinned and having dark eyes. There's not any difference and doesn't exist any privilege in Sicily between these two groups of Sicilians. Peace... :) :) :)
