Olga Rudenko, Editor in chief of @kyivindependent_official, appeared on the cover of @time💪🏻 The American magazine also published an article about Olga’s personal story — how a humble girl became a next generation leader.
In it, Olga describes what a challenge it is to do reporting on the war, not being able to turn off the news. Every atrocity, every killed civilian, every war crime against Ukrainians has to be documented. At the same time, she makes a meaning of it.
“As a journalist,” she says, “you have the privilege of knowing that your job is actually helping. I’m not going to say it’s helping the country or helping the troops. But you’re helping the right thing to happen.”
