Sunday Morning: multimadeira smell, first step! I gave Jela, Luka, Toyboy and Jvan 2 cotton textiles/person to tie around their belies, arm pits or forehead. We went running uphill and then back down. The textiles are now recollected in sealed bag. To be distilled today!

Yesterday, Saturday, I hosted a workshop on how to distill at the Loja do Pena house. We used the steam distillation process to extract the scent of Anona Seed that Margarita brought. At night we distilled pine niddle.
The first aroma of the seeds, smelled somehow to sperm. Funny to think about the “seed concept”.
The pine niddles smell sweet, quite strong.
Kati had the wonderful idea of doing wunderbaums for the rooms. We are going to be using this scent.

Today I’m distilling the little orange fruits that the tree Pittosporum Undulatum has. You have to cut them in smaller pieces if you wanna smell something. Their aroma reminds me on gin.
