Well done!! 🥇#firstinclass — #Repost @rsskunkwerks ・・・ What a weekend of ups & downs! 1959 a Denzel Beetle won its class in an FIA event, this would be the last time a Denzel Beetle would race. 2 years ago we set out with a dream to win an FIA event in 2019, on the 60th anniversary. We knew it wouldn't be easy and would take a few years of development to get the car capable of the task. We have had major ups, downs and drama along the way, but this last weekend we managed to complete the goal and the little 1300 #DenzelBeetle won its class at #WalesRallyGB. A full story will follow via our partners. I would like to thank the VW community as a whole, the Rallying community, all my close friends (you know who you are) who have always supported us in our aim, the VW publications, all the people who stood on the stages in the forest in the rain to cheer us on, the organisation who make Wales GB possible, all the Marshals that give their time to make the sport possible. Yesterday was drop-deadline day! We had a date set - June 3, 2019 at 10.50 o’clock - time to get it to the RDW - Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency - for some Dutch paperwork and a license eventually so we can race her. This was exiting and also a little bit nerve wracking in a way... as you never know what will happen or if they spot something wrong that we missed, as the last days where quite hectic... but yes, SHE PASSED 🤘🏻 and will be getting Dutch plates soon!
