Welcome to our latest project...the Duplex. 🏠 Home renovations will be remaining as one of my avenues of creativity in 2020 as my husband and I are restoring this duplex to rent out. We went from idea, to accepted offer, and mortgage in 14 days last month. But don’t worry...I’m not moving. Building to life metaphor of the week: We build bridges to connect with other people by trying to show empathy and understanding, lending a helping hand and listening ear when needed. Those bridges we build in turn serve as a foundation that allow us to build a relationship. If the effort isn't mutual, however, you can only get so far. I'm glad the work was put in on this physical arch, which holds up a porch, as it's one of my favorite features of Senior House, a former dormitory at the once-upon-a-time women's college campus National Park Seminary in Forest Glen, Maryland.
