[:::❅] — The days seemed longer now that Spring had finally arrived. The lands were no longer blanketed in snow while the greenery had returned with a pallet of colors.
The maiden had quickly grown weary, tired from the travels from the distant mountains her journey had brought her from. Rin now planned on taking refuge at the nearest village, but she had yet to find one.
Rin now walked though a flowery field that seemed to go on for miles past the forest path. The maiden stopped and stood where she was, tired gaze scanning over the field to notice someone up ahead.
Watching the sun slowly ascend above. It's gleam shined over the back of the female figure that stood in the distance. Was she seeing things? Could it truly be…?
“…..Kagura?” Rin softly called out, eyes squinting to the sunrise glare as she focused on the woman who appeared to be alive and well.
The maiden doubted the demoness would remember her as so many years had passed. But, she found no danger in revealing her presence. Naraku no longer existed, after all.
That would simply mean the wind sorceress had somehow revived–under no command but her own now. Was this person truly Kagura? Rin only wondered as she took a few steps closer towards the woman.
Headcanon: Powers
From her exposure from the meido stone (in TFA) as well as cheating death the two times she did successfully, Rin has recently obtained peculiar powers. These abilities have so far, shown to be connected with assisting unrest spirits to safely depart to the afterlife.
Rin can also sense demonic auras, and see servants of the underworld/destroy them with a touch. She is able to melt away barriers, as well as create a single mobile barrier that surrounds her and anyone she touches until it's destroyed. While not of miko purity, the strength of the barrier is quite useful in a pinch.
Finally, she has the ability to heal any ailment of the dying/fatally sick. The reason for this could be a link between being saved by Sesshoumaru's former blade, the tenseiga.
Still on a journey to untap these newfound abilities, her encounters with certain people/demons will help her understand the extent of the powers that have chosen her as she silently questions "why me? and what am I meant to do?"
As of now, she is on a journey with Kikyo, overcoming the obstacles that stand in their way as they train to learn more of what Rin is capable of.

[:::❅] — Rin sighed, idly gazing at the menu that laid flat on the table as she waited for her server. She was new to this town, just moved from the countryside of Hokkaido. It was lonely, moving to an unfamiliar town and leaving her old friends behind. Still, the brunette made an effort to see what it had to offer.
From what she heard, this cafe was where most girls flocked when they were having a bad day. Her legs crossed beneath the short pink chiffon dress, and tiredly, Rin sat up when a glass of water was placed in front of her.
She looked up at the male server, paralyzed by his looks and dual colored gaze. Rin blinked, face flushed with red. What was his name? And why was her heart pounding against her chest?

[:::❅] —"Lady Sango, how long has it been since you've slain?" The young maiden couldn't help but ask as she kneeled at the crackling fire. The blade she carried was being tended to the local swordsman that was hammering in the small cave nearby.
Rin petted the slayer's neko softly on the head, taking the small formed feline in her lap while her gaze focused up at the night sky. Life had been simple in Kaede's village for nearly six years now, and she hoped to spend her days with some excitement and adventure. So, she followed the former demon slayer to her campsite, giving her a frequent company when she seemed lost in her own thoughts. Rin then wondered if Sango, too, was yearning for something more than this.
"I sometimes wonder what more there is I can do, besides settle here. My Lord has yet to return. You know? I just find myself wanting an adventure. I have abilities with swordplay but what could I do with it?" Rin said her thoughts aloud, petting Kirara softly as she smiled weakly to Sango.

wakingtwilight:
[:::❅] — The scenery changed from the window Rin looked out from. She was on the morning line, speeding through tunnels and stopping at each outdoor station in an empty cart. The conductor's voice repeated the station's name two times. Rin soon reached her stop, scurrying past the sea of people and down the stairs.
The brunette clutched to the chained strap of her pink handbag, thin fingers flicking her bangs from her eyes when the breeze kicked up. The faint sound of her boots meeting concrete echoed, but it wasn't louder than the heartbeat that pounded in her breast. Today would be the day Rin worked up the courage to become a maid at a maid cafe.--and one in particular caught the attention of her friends that encouraged her to work there. But, why there of all places? She'd soon find out.
"Meido no Hitsuji?" Rin repeated the words she read aloud from her cellphone screen, idly reading the directions in the text message while walking over the sidewalk bridge. It was still early in the morning, so she had no reason to be cautious of bumping into anyone, right? Rin sighed, closing the pink cellphone shut.
witchofoblivion:
[:::❅] —Rin hadn't known why these powers have chosen her. What made her existence so s p e c i a l now? This outlook was a bit pessimistic, as the Rin who was now a young woman had nothing to s m i l e for. Her usual optimism was slowly f a d i n g, for what the maiden posessed was soon proving to be a curse. Lady Kikyo had warned her not to take on the burden of abusing it.--The ability she had that healed the dying.
It wasn't enough to just assist the unrest, bound spirits of slaughtered innocents that underworld servants wanted to drag away to hell. It wasn't enough to destroy the unholy vermin, and call it a day once the white orbs crossed over in peace. No. Rin couldn't yield. It would be a sin to withold what she was capable of. Training with Kikyo had proven she was no mere guide for the dead. Her vow of saving one village had then become twelve as the famines and diseases had spread, all of which she went on a journey to cure on her own. Kikyo refused to watch Rin walk an endless path that she believed would inevitably kill her, so they had parted ways not that long ago. Geta clacked against the grovel as she tiredly held to the basket fastened on her back.
Many of the grateful villagers from the last village had dubbed Rin a sorceress of miracle, but she was nothing more than a mortal young woman--who now lay collapsed from fatigue after she had failed to reach the suffering village up ahead.
Had fate decided that this was the price she had to pay for cheating death twofold? Cicadas sobbed in a chorus in the trees. Sunset. The maiden's vision b l u r r e d , as nimble fingers extended weakly against the dirt. Rin put up a rose colored barrier around her for protection of getting trampled as she was sure it'd be seconds til she'd fall unconscious.
Soon, the young maiden's sight of the forest had changed to a barron, blackened atmosphere. Rin weakly rose from the crater's gravel, it was much rougher than the dirt. This place was nothing like her homeland. The ground she stood on felt spherical.
"Where am I? Am I... d e a d ?" Rin asked aloud as her tired voice echoed across the empty wasteland.
//Beautiful hair! Really shiny.<3 ALSO I SEE SWORD WHAT IS IT SHOW ME MORE TELL ME TELL ME
//That my dear, is one of our three wooden kendo/bokken swords. I have a replica of Grimmjows (from Bleach) sword.
^.^ The shade was a little brighter then I thought but I think it’s pretty. But the haircut and the conditioner that came with the dye made my hair a lot softer and shinier, which means healthier. So I’m pretty happy. It was nice to have a change.
