hopefully thiiiiis is the dress you’re talking about? 

because it is really pretty! and also super unique. 

i’m not sure i’ve ever seen something quite as subtle as this out there in the wild, like to me the plant details look almost hand painted (esp in that first shot, the little wispy amounts of red on the right side of the dress (the model’s left, right side of the photo if you’re the viewer) almost looks like ink or watercolor, texturally) but i’m going to queue up several different things for you: some tutorials on how you might DIY this, some vintage dresses that would look similar if you were able to apply this technique to them, and then some dresses (and fabrics) that have a similar vibe just out of the box, since i’ve seen quite a few REALLY beautiful floral laces/embroidered fabrics and dresses when just looking around on various sites. 

hella appreciate you trying to help, but unfortunately we can’t even download any unauthorized programs onto our machines without IT doing it for us, like i can’t even alter my laptop’s auto-dimming settings myself and just have to make sure to keep moving my mouse if i’m uploading big files for a job i’m working on, so downloading anything (even a browser extension) isn’t rly an option, unfortunately! 

also the risk of getting in trouble over tumblr is 1000% not worth it when this is kinda my big gig i depend on to pay my bills & to have health insurance considering there’s not a whoooole lot of other opportunities in my region, haha. 

also just so ppl know what’s up, i’m in a rly busy period both personal life wise and work wise rn too (i was hospitalized for a while in april and have still been dealing w/ the aftermath of all that, and i’m in charge of major photo & video shoots for my job which have been happening once a month or more and taking up a lot of even my off-work time) but i’m hoping things are going to calm down a bit after july is over to where my work life balance gets a little better and i can be more active here. it’s smth fun i rly enjoy doing even just as stress relief but w/ how much medical debt i’m in rn i rarely have been in the mood to look at online shopping and have been spending a lot more of my time trying to figure out how i’m gonna make it through the month, so it just hasn’t been smth at the top of my mind. 

i used to be able to queue up posts on here for fun during my lunch break and now i have like zero time during my normal day and most of my weekend is dedicated to keeping up with my shop :/ 

so i haven’t really addressed the whole tumblr mess thing on this blog yet, mainly because i’m unsure of what i want to do and what i should do. i just made the above poll for folks here who enjoy my content...what would you want to see most from me?

get way more active on my self-hosted blog

have an instagram where i make outfit posts, talk about trends, post coords i’ve put together and tag the online stores they’re from, link to/advertise my longer form posts from my self-hosted blog, etc

have a twitter where i do the same as on the IG but obviously it’d be a little different just wordiness wise...if y’all prefer twitter

my posts have been automatically cross posted to pinterest for a WHILE now so i could potentially get more focused/active there if ppl like that

it’s cool that they’re using a girl who actually looks plus sized in some of the promotional material (though after double checking their other social stuff i’m only seeing it in the email blast they sent out this morning) but i’m not seeing her or anyone similar on their website modeling the pieces at all, all you get is your typical thin model in the same oversized pieces so you have no idea how they’d fit a plus sized model.
