what do you love about your language? omg. omg where do i even begin. italian is such a melodious language but that’s what every foreigner tells us - like i often ask my non italian friends what does it feel/sound like from their perspective and they always tell me it’s almost like we’re not even speaking, we’re singing. i don’t know if it’s true but it sure feels great being told this :) anyway italian can express a LOT of concepts & feelings with tiny tiny nuances. also the coolest shit ever: italian existed *before* italy was politically created like how great is that. and dont get me started on dialects, they’re so overflowing with expression & emotion. there are things you can only say in your local dialect. 

what do you hate about your language? probably that standard italian is more of a written than a spoken language, so to say, because of our political history. it evolves very slowly when compared to other languages, and sometimes it takes a lot of phrasing to express a concept that would only require a couple of words in english or german which are imho much more immediate languages once you get familiar with their system

favourite proverb/saying from your language: there are lots of proverbs especially in dialect, i’d say “a buon intendiore poche parole” which roughly translates to “a good listener only needs a few words [to understand]”

which language(s) do you think of as the most beautiful? I’m a language student so i’d kill to have the chance to learn every language in the world. that being said, among the ones i‘m more interested in i’d say german, spanish and russian (i’ve just lately begun to really learn & appreciate it)
