          Morgiana fidgeted, holding a small wrapped gift as she walked around the area, looking for the still small, yet taller, male who had saved her from a strange man just days before.

          She had heard that he came to this particular park to watch the small area of water that held calming properties to it, and took her chance to try and find him on that day, walking around slowly as she scanned the area.

          As she spotted a clean mop of black hair, she waited for more signs it was him, and as he looked to the side, she saw his sharp features and smiled softly, starting to walk over there. As she sat down in front of him, she waited for his attention to turn to her before she held out the gift.

There would be silence, sudden and almost deafening. Her face would remain the same passive expression she always wore but it would be the sudden darkness in her eyes that gave away anything was wrong –she had warned him to be careful or he would end up dying….leaving her alone here…like everyone else. He’d told her there was no way it would happen and now here it was and he had lied. He had lied and he had broken down the last piece of her that held hope that maybe she wasn’t all bad. She would be furious, grieving, and quiet….so very quiet…and she wouldn’t speak for a long time after learning.

Mikasa doesn’t sleep often because when she does it leads to vivid dreams she wished would not be real –it often was the faces of those who had been in danger before but occasionally it would be the people she most cared about in the present. When Levi suddenly got hurt at the error of Mikasa’s carelessness in battle and she was awoken she would be covered in a light sweat and breathless. She would make sure to grasp her phone quickly and, with shaking hands, she would dial his phone and keep calling until she heard his irritated voice at some ungodly hour. She just wants to make sure he’s fine.

She hadn’t seen Levi in a few days.

Now she had heard the rumors that Levi had taken off on leave for a little while --the sounds of rejoicing had been too loud to think honestly, but it had been nothing but a cause of worry for her. It wasn’t like the stone faced man to take off and she had heard a few of the stories he told her late at night on the pier to know that something might have been wrong with him.

She hadn’t gone storming to him the first day but once it had reached nearly 5 days of his absence she had decided that it was time to make her appearance. Once she had been released for the day she had changed into a lighter outfit, to beat the heat that was creeping into her skin, sans her usual scarf and had began a trek to the place she knew he had stayed.
