Leon was slow to wake. His skull felt like it had taken a hammer. He spent a lot of his mornings like he was glaring down the sun, but today he had to turn his head away from the light with a small pained grunt. He would have physically balled himself up, if his body didn't feel so run down.
Pain in his stomach. Aches. Vaguely sick. Wanting to throw back a litre of water off the bat but wary about bringing it straight back up.
He'd think he were coming down with something, if he hadn't drank until he made an ass of himself.
He isn't alone, though. A supportive hand brushes his hair and he seeks out the touch. When he peeks his eyes open again he can see Luis... who looks amazingly normal. He must have kept his limit in mind. "... m'sorry for getting white girl drunk." Leon pitifully murmurs. He thinks there was a dance on tabletops involved. Definitely traded his Ray Bans for someone's plastic heart-shaped party glasses. Worth it.
Luis’ grin only grew wider and wider as he watched Leon struggle with this new day.
And the small comment pulled a bright laugh from him.
“Ah, you were the whitest drunkest girl of that bar last night, I can vouch for that, Sancho.”, he teased the other. This had been a blast. They had not planned on this, definitely not. But the evening had been so good and it had just happened…
Loud singing, along with others, and somehow then dancing on tables. Leon had been on the forefront of the latter. And damn, had he looked good while making a fool out of him.
Though, it was nothing that Luis would judge. No. It had been great to witness Leon like that. Forgetting a lot of his usual daily troubles and worries. Just letting go. However wild the result was then. And Luis had been clear enough in the head to keep him safe – and witness this all in its full glory.
Leon’s smiles and laughs were always treasured. But when they came so easily, like last night, it was a whole different story.
“Oh, poor bebida blanca princesa…”, Luis couldn’t help himself, as he knelt down next to Leon. He set down a big glass of water and some vitamin and painkillers, should Leon want them.
Then he rested his head atop his own arms for a moment watching the other. He pressed a kiss to Leon’s brow, chuckling and tugging some of those now completely messy blond strands back.
“Don’t worry, I deleted all the evidence of the great Mr. Kennedy dancing on tabletops like he earned money with it. And no one will believe the others at the bar ever anyway.”
Getting up again, Luis pulled the curtains shut a little more, so that Leon’s brain at least had some more time to catch up with the rising sun.
Next, he set down a suspicious bucket next to the bed.
“Here, if you decide to let go of last nights drinks this way… I will be headed out for like an hour. Getting something to counter your alcohol levels, probably with a lot of carbs and melted cheese. Oh. And I still have to return the raccoon you abducted from that dumpster and locked into our bathroom last night, before it eats through the wall completely wearing your Ray Bans. Wish me luck, carino!”
