“’Gramps’?”
Shooting the pink-haired girl a mock expression of offence, the tactician gazes upon his future grandchild with a look of warmth, not unlike the same gaze he gives the girl’s father, or any of his children, for that matter. It is true that it is quite a lot to take in when it comes to accepting that the man not only has future children, but at least one future grandchild, and while he can say with confidence that he loves her dearly, the idea of already having a grandchild not too much younger than himself is quite...odd, still. To only be a few years over twenty, and already a father and grand father...it was something Robin was having to get accustomed to, although he’d never speak such words to the girl he had so playfully snuck up on. No, these problems are not Soliel’s burden to bear, nor are they anyone’s but the tactician’s own. He would absolutely hate himself if the girl somehow thought she was unwanted, or something horrible like that, so these emotions the white-haired mage had been feeling ever since learning of the girl’s existence in this time must be kept to himself, or, at the very least, away from her ears. Although, the strategist couldn’t help but wonder what his granddaughter thought of having a grandfather like himself. Or, that is to say, a grandfather that is only technically her grand parent. She did not seem to show any signs of feeling distrust or anything of the like towards himself, but still, it was something the man worried about all the same.
“Surely, I’m not that old...Though, I admit, the pale hair probably tends to give that illusion more oft then not, eh?”
A warm smile then spreads unto the man’s lips, hoping his playful antics were appreciated by the other, or, at the very least, acknowledged for being just that; playful antics, and playful words. He didn’t claim to know the girl all that well just yet, but the strategist is fairly sure that his efforts won’t just backfire on him.
“I only jest, love. A little birdie told me you tend to frequently come this way, so I thought I’d surprise you with an offer to spend the rest of the evening with me. Only if you’d like to, of course.”
