after everything poseidon has done, does zeus trust him or does he keep an eye on him always?
it’s so complicated. i think that the memory of what happened haunts zeus at all times, and he’s cautious about what he says to poseidon, about what situations he gets himself into when poseidon is around. i don’t think he believes that poseidon will try anything right now --- but that paranoid part of himself is always wondering what if. he can’t just forget his brother’s betrayal, that’s for sure.
but at the same time, i think zeus GENUINELY likes poseidon. he enjoys him as a person, and appreciates his humour, and his general out there personality. it’s just hard because he can’t get rid of that feeling of fear -- so he tends not to let himself get too close / ends up being a bit of a dick bc he just... doesn’t want to make himself vulnerable.
