     it’s an experiment, testing the waters. cruella had barely been done pinning a fabric around dorothy’s frame when the other woman brings their lips together. an eyebrow is raised in confusion, what exactly is she trying to prove? so insistent that this lifestyle isn’t for her and yet-

     cruella raises a hand to the other’s cheek as she draws the kiss to a close.

          ❝how...quaint.❞

     she muses quietly, mostly to herself as she eyes the small diner. she had probably said the exact same thing the last time she was here. but of course, that was a LIFETIME ago... literally. 

     estella had enjoyed this place, sometimes unironically, so it seems only natural for cruella to pay a visit.

—   right on cue, amira twirls, and the crystal aqua organza of her skirt circles around her.  “oh, thank you.”  she recites with bubbling pride. amira extends the fabric of her skirt, as if preparing to curtsy.  “i designed it myself,”  she steps outside of the sweeping grandeur of her creation and studies the girl in front of her. her beaming, prideful grin softens.

—   the nod that amira gives is so slow that a careless observer might assume she is not paying attention. or rather that, she doesn’t care. nothing can be further than the truth; her current stream of thought is rapid flowing, allow her a moment to dam the strong current so that she may give more of a reply. 

amira swallows, nods again before turning to dorothy. she is looking at the younger woman, but her stare is vacant, far beyond their conversion and the exhibit they are standing in.
