reasons i’ve seen so far there should be a third season
-there was no good reason to kill off izzy after all the development he’d gone through, finally having a family who loves him that he can truly be himself around
-his funeral was very rushed, they moved on to talking happily immediately, ed was not nearly broken up about it for the rest of the episode. it felt disrespectful
-burying a pirate on land? absolutely not, he will not stay there. which leads to the next point
-they turned buttons into a fucking bird. of course they’re able to open s3 like lazarus rising
-buttons landed on his grave at the end, he should be able to use his sea witch powers to bring him back
-stede never directly said he wanted to quit piracy, he was only starting out and he seemed to be really enjoying it. the inn is going to become their antique shop, their happiness their won’t last long
-even if ed’s happy at the inn permanently, there’s no way he’ll be happy not participating in revenge against baines. hell ignore it at first but it’ll creep up on him, getting angrier and angrier. this would also make their decision to go back to the revenge mutual, even if only temporary
-personal opinion but ending shows with funerals or weddings sucks, let us see how everyone adjusts being without that person or the lovely little moments of the new married couple remembering they’re married

david has also tweeted saying there isn’t a show without izzy, which could either be saying “we’re not doing another season because he’s gone” (which, rude, you’re the one who killed him) or “if there is a third season, rest assured he will be there”. all these men have broken my trust and heart so i won’t think about which he meant
