PIP: god i'm so happy marGOT!!

THERE WAS ONE THING THAT CAT LEARNED VERY EARLY IN LIFE: there were not a lot of things that mattered as much as the clothes you wore. it was the simple truth and yet, she hated to follow the usual trends and hypes. who cared if her dress was designed by carolina herrera herself, only for the princess to wear it, if she did not feel comfortable in it? her clothes represented her, so she wanted each piece to have personality. it was exactly why she knew she had to come here as soon as she saw one of margot’s designs. they were exquisite and original, to say the least, and catriona believed that she would be the perfect designer for the next royal meeting she would have to attend.  ❛ thank you. ❜ she breathed to the staff member of parsons that lead her toward the blonde, before she focused her attention on her instead.  ❛ you must be margot vanderbilt? my name is catriona grimaldi --- i was hoping that i could steal a minute of your time? ❜

once they were received, she puts a shot out in front of margot –– gesturing her to take it.  “ you and i both know we want to be drunk especially on new years eve. “

     board meetings are perhaps the worst thing that have come out of damon’s acquisition of the company and more often than not, he spends them completely zoning out. the more senior members--such as the ones who had been around when his dad was in charge--had given up several years ago trying to scold damon into paying attention, not only because of the fruitlessness of the gesture but because they’ve learned not to provoke his wrath if they can help it. the company is, after all, still afloat seven years later, and though most of them resent the way he does it, none of them have chosen to keep their pride and leave. he’s forty-five minutes into a presentation on the benefits of partnering up with another company damon already knows he wants nothing to do with when his wandering gaze lands upon a very familiar blonde standing just outside the conference room's glass wall. his jaw clenches and for a moment he stays seated, eyes moving to the security guard who’s giving her mistrustful looks and then back to her slight frame. without explanation he finally stands and leaves, ignoring the grumbling and huffs of irritation that are muffled anyway when the door closes behind him. “margot,” he states flatly, pleased by the way his voice is as steady as ever in spite of the squirming sensation of unease in his gut. he gives the guard a single look that has him vacating the area, but it’s still in a low, threatening tone that he continues between clenched teeth, “are you drunk? are you high? i can’t think of another reason for you to be here once again after i’ve made it abundantly clear i don’t want to see you anywhere near this building.”

it’s getting closer and closer to midnight and pip’s actually nervous. maybe it’s because she’s let kenny wander off to talk to some friends and she’s worried she won’t get him back in time. or maybe she’s just not as brave as she thought, overall, and she just can’t go through with it. either way, she finds herself frantically scanning faces until she lands on a friendly one. “margot, help,” pip whines, reaching out both her hands to cling to the blonde’s. “i think i may be about to make a huge fool out of myself and you should talk me out of it.” they still have time, for this conversation anyways. she just hopes she also has time to get over her butterflies.
