While they handled themselves well when [ [ a l o n e ] ] , if Noctis made a call then it was one that Cor could always trump if he saw it necessary . Being surrounded by the enemy , [ [ t r a p p e d ] ] within the a battle with few escape options meant that they had to use logic and clear thinking if they were [ [ a l l ] ] going to live another day .
While everyoneâs mind was on him -- as it often was as the future King -- Noctisâ mind remained on Cor, who was injured . The [ [ l a s t ] ] thing that he ever wanted to do was leave him behind . No one should get left behind . . .

His fingernails dug [ [ d e e p l y ] ] into his palm as he curled his fists along his side . He squeezed his eyes shut as he wrestled with his inner voices , while Corâs soft plea washed them all away . With a sigh of defeat , Noctisâ hands released with the opening of his eyes on Cor .Â
â I better see you at home . . . â He whispered in return . It was more of a wish than it was an [ [ o r d e r ] ] that came from the Prince . Frankly , he didnât have time to say much else as his friends rushed him from danger . He wasnât allowed to look back , Gladio wouldnât let him or else heâd turn back . He just kept [ [ r u n n i n g ] ] while the clashing of swords and gunfire created the soundtrack of war behind him .Â
