Once upon a time this was a guitar blog, and even though I’m not very active here anymore, it’s still worth mentioning that for Christmas I treated myself to a Squier Classic Vibe Jazzmaster, a guitar I’ve always wanted. The tech at the shop set it up really well. Much lighter than my Jaguar, but I’m really enjoy that wide, rich mid-range and the chimey shimmer of these pickups. And the Tahitian Coral finish is hella nice.
I’ve already upgraded the pots on the lead circuit, might do the same with the rhythm. Ill upgrade the trem at some point and probably the tuners, but that’s it — not gonna go hog wild like I did with the Jaguar, which started out as a Squier and is pretty much AVRI spec at this point.
1966 Fender Mustang on loan from my buddy @tomgibson3783.🤩
As you know, I sold my 1969 Mustang back in 2020, and it was stupid thing to do. Problem is they have doubled in price since then so it's unlikely I'll get to own another one... 😭
I’m smitten

looking at this photo of my guitar as I sit next to my guitar... ☺︎
Woodrite Switchblade Guitar
This might be the best or worst guitar ever. It might also be the coolest I've ever seen. JazzSGuar? SGjagmaster? JagmaSG?
Raised the bridge and put fatter strings (11-50) on the Jag and no more buzz!
