It was interesting to figure out how to do Ralsei’s expression since he doesn’t have much of a face… But I used grey and grey-purple outlines to bring a sense of formlessness, with his face being the brightest parts in white. Unlike canon Ralsei, who has wide-open eyes (and looks friendly), I thought this kind of droopy eyes fits the way this Ralsei talks. The floating blobs and incomplete lines in the second drawing was also meant to evoke his sense of formlessness (physically) and malleability (psychologically). The looseness of the lines and the dot paper background are all meant to convey him being “in-between” the world of the PLAYERS and the world of the game.
Oh, and of course his emotionally repressive ^_^ emoji is in all white against the darker lines to make it stand out

There is a big difference! You see, Darkners were born with a singular transcendent purpose woven into our beings - to assist the Lightners and make them happy! It's only by doing so that we can feel truly fulfilled.
And Lightners were born to bring joy to the PLAYER! Whether they know it or not, every one of them has a role to play in the grand narrative. Big or small, all of them truly matter. Every choice they make will bring them closer to achieving that goal. It must be a lovely thing, to have such an honor.
So you see, all of us, big and small, Darkner and Lightner, are ultimately here for YOU! Your existences, your choices.. they're special, you see. And by making you happy, all of us here in our world will be happy, too.

I think we must have very different definitions of "broken." I'm okay, aren't I? I was made for this. I'm content knowing that someday I'll be fulfilled. I have friends I'm just waiting to meet. And I know that a lot of you really like me too! That's really important.
...If, um. If you think I'm broken like this... then I don't mind. I can be scared, or lonely, or sad... but there's folks who are worse off than me, haha. This sort of brokenness is much better than the alternative.
