âSo, how do I look?â Violet asked, stepping out of his room.
âVi. Youâre asking me, somebody whoâs entire wardrobe for years consisted of twenty pairs of identical cargo pants and same number of black shirts, how you look?â Penelope replied, not bothering to get up from the couch. âIâve only started wearing different colours in the past few months.â
âPoint taken. Never going to you for fashion advice again.â He said, adjusting his tie.
âGood plan.â She returned to her book, before looking up once again. âOh, right, I ordered some flowers for you to take. Stop by the florist and pick them up on your way there.â
âWell, thanks, Nel.â Grabbing his jacket, he turned to her. âYou didnât have to.â
âI knew youâd forget. You were too busy making sure everything else was ready.â She waved her hand towards the door. "Besides, I used your money. Now get going, Sparks. Youâll be fine.â
