there were specific details, specific timings, and specific orders to follow. the planning, premeditation and the preparations were all in alignment with the stars. the confined small space, for which they sat, and behind the wheel for which she overlooked felt like a tiny calm before the storm. the silent stirrings within remained hidden as she wanted to save her energy for the fight to come. she stuck to the path––the off-road path, edging just a block away from the dock as slow tires and low headlights crept up on their destination. with a bit of caffeine fueling her adrenaline, she watched the boat in the far distance. and while she hadn't any real knowledge on how fast a boat could travel, it seemed as if they were good on time.
it was an overnight shipment. they would be shaded by the night and sabotage any plans that ship had in delivering what was hidden in the starboard, or vessels, where ever things were hidden in a boat. her endurance training and her confidence gleamed in the dark night. for once she felt as if she were thriving— itching to get the job done. there was something about saving the lives of others, there was something about being on these missions that gave her a fulfillment she’d never truly felt. she was a hero-- she was trying to be a hero, and she loved it.
the instructions were simple, park the van, procure the supplies, sabotage and sneak. this–– given the girl's nature would be easy, as she was able to remain hidden in plain sight so long as she didn't strike up a conversation. but she had nothing to say to unsuspecting guards save for an occasional, yoink!! or thanks for the equipment, buddies!! though she tried her best to keep her definitely planned in front of a mirror superhero dialogue to herself. they didn’t have time for nonsense.
placing the van in park, she tossed a look to her partner––
@ofeirs || mission 003: did I build this ship to wreck?
––and offered a nod, to gauge her own reaction. this seemed close enough, didn't it? even still knowing little to nothing of the other, Cusp supplied her faith in Silver Knight's assignments.
