With little care, the prized boar in her hunt for food, was dropped near the fire pit where she would clean the animal later and present a meal for her family. Though small, providing was proving to be more difficult due to the damage done by praimfaya, she was pleased to have succeeded in her trip. Obstacles in their survival were frequent, but Lexa was proud of her family’s resourcefulness. The silence was broken, lifting a smile on her features which had become more common since the wave of death swept over her lands and left with little. Though her people were most likely lost, for which she had grieved, but selfishly she couldn’t regret the happiness she had found.
She had been ready to say her goodbyes to her lover, to hope for her return for which she would wait, but their plans had drastically changed when she had found Clarke. Heart hammering in her chest, she believed to have found her lifeless body. She vividly remembers how her body trembled as she checked for any sign of life. Her pulse had been weak, but the blood of her own running through the sky girl’s veins kept her from succumbing to the radiation. The first few days had been a struggle, but together they had survived.
Brushing her hands on her pants she followed the sounds, her footfalls softly as she easily navigated through the trees that had been home for as long as she could remember. The essence of praimfaya were clear, but nature was fighting back and with little returning to it’s glory. As expected she found Madi practicing under the watchful eye of Clarke who gently encouraged her to push her limits and grow in the skills she was developing. With a tenderness showed without limitations, she rested her hands on strong shoulders. “She’s improving.”
