She grabs two glasses of lemonade from a nearby refreshment table and begins to weave through the crowd of people. Some pointedly step out of her way and for a moment she wonders if it’s because she’s taped down her chest for her outfit. Would they have still stepped out of her way, if they knew for sure that she was a miss?
She offers one drink to the caped stranger who is actually not a stranger.
“I adore the cape. And everything else. Are you the patron god of not visiting the modiste?”
