               AURADON PREP REMINDS HER OF THE SOUTHERN ISLES. the lush grass and tall spirals only serves to give her vivid memories of the palace she once inhabited, though she never considered it her home as much as her prison. she doesn’t trust it, but this is going to be her son’s home now...she supposes she will give it a shot. she’s lucky enough to have the opportunity to accompany him to the school, unlike the villains with magic to their advantage. of course, she is never without the accompaniment of guards, but it’s more than others would be allowed.                SHE BUSIES HERSELF WITH FOLDING AND RE-FOLDING HIS SHIRTS, whilst aleks begins to acquaint himself with his new surroundings, despite how dreadful she is at folding clothes to begin with. she recalls how he had refused to leave her alone on the island when he first received his invitation to auradon, and she hates that she is beginning to have second thoughts already. a knock at the door of her son’s dorm tightens her throat and stiffens her spine with steel, and she turns towards the door with a throat full of bees.     “come in.”
