14. What do they care deeply about? What kind of loyalties, commitments, moral codes, life philosophies, passions, callings, or spirituality and faith do they have? How do these tend to be expressed?

Victoria cares about her projected image, and how people see her. She wants to be seen as successful, put together, and above all, someone that cannot be fucked with. So, obviously, her loyalties align with people who will help her keep that image. But aside from that, she’s also loyal to those who are loyal to her. On the flip side of that, she will cut backstabbers out of her life without a second thought. 

Her moral code is Machiavellian (literally, said by Machiavelli), “It is better to be feared than loved.” This also stems from her belief that love equates to weakness, and the idea that people give too much of themselves only to be screwed over when they love someone. Note that this applies not only to romantic love but also platonic and familial as well.

Spiritually and religiously, Victoria completely does not buy it. She doesn’t believe in any kind of religion or spiritual being, save for maybe karma. This is expressed in the fact that she openly scoffs at Kate for her religious beliefs, and is offended that she is so open about it.

16. Do they dream? What are those dreams like?

Before the events of the dark room, Victoria’s dreams differ night-to-night, especially effected by if she was drinking/doing drugs. A common theme in her happier dreams revolve around a skewed version of her childhood, with happier memories of her parents, and being congratulated for doing well. Sometimes, her parents are replaced by Joyce. Other times, she dreams of the future and being a successful photographer, surrounded by people who love her and her work. 

Her nightmares, similarly, revolve around being ignored/forgotten by her loved ones, being perpetually late to important events, etc. After the dark room, at least in the verse where she survives, her dreams are all nightmares, focused on a harsh, blinding light and a feeling of dread, interspersed with repressed memories of that night.

31. Is there anything that counts as a “dealbreaker” for them, positively or negatively? What makes things go smoothly, and what spoils an activity or ruins their day? Why?

Anyone or anything that publicly embarrasses Victoria is a dealbreaker/day ruiner for her. This can be anything, another person’s actions, or something Victoria herself does, no matter how small. 

39. What sort of questions or thoughts recur in their lives, either specifically or as a theme? Why are these never answered, or answered permanently to their satisfaction?
