Land Surveying really is an awesome profession. It's done a lot for me and I don't think enough people know about it. If you're looking for a career change, enjoy hiking, sweating, getting dirty, math, maps, construction and travel, being a Surveyor is a good option. This is a link to the apprenticeship that I'm in and is linked to the Operating Engineers Local 3 labor union. It teaches you a skill, and you work and get paid well while doing it. Not many jobs these days can say that. Ask any man or woman in the profession and I suspect that almost all of them would speak the same praises I have. I'm not being paid or asked to share this. It's just something I've really grown to love and wanted to share with as may people as I can. Feel free to message or ask me with any questions you might have.
