Chapters: 1/?
Story Summary: A whole world is moved above the atmosphere and onto a newly build colony named CCoR run by three gods (Sovereign, Odeai, and Syzeyar). Such gods own their own roles and their own rank. Though, all equal, they have differences and even their own problems that conflict with the colony’s residents.
A/N: new version of Starlight, I may post the old one again at some point, but right now it’s new and improved. I also believe each chapter will start out in a similar way to this one. Hope you enjoy!
A nameless being, one of pale moonlight stared down at her abandoned home. The people of the new age lived beyond that with her, but none ever looked back as much as she.
She wished it wouldn’t have had to come to this. But it was too dangerous back there. It was not a place she wanted her people to thrive in.
Yet she feels… nothing. Looking down upon her old home she feels nothing. Nothing in her gut told her to go back. Nothing in the back of her mind told her she made a mistake. This is all because her people are safe, they’ve told her, they’ve praised her. They worship her now.
They began to call her Sovereign.
“Odeai,” Sovereign spoke, her voice soft and calm. Like a gentle breeze through the mountain peaks and the quiet rustling of leaves. She stared at her reflection in the glass in front of her which separated her from the vacuum of space just outside. Her pale skin contrasted by her mint hair, constantly changing from yellows and greens, to blues and indigos. Her opalescent indigo eyes stared past the glass and at the planet they once lived on. She wore her skintight uniform that’s required by all members of their colony, but she did not wear her garb that classified her rank and title.
Odeai stood behind her desk, keeping an eye on her ex. They were just friends now, they realized it’s the best and most efficient. Odeai herself wore her coat that classified her as goddess. It looked almost like a dress, of course it still held different qualities. Her coat looked like the night sky, the space Sovereign watched, as it subtly changes color and movement. A golden piece of metal one one side of her shoulder resembled the shape of their sun while the silver on the other resembled that of their moon. Odeai, with her pale skin and purple hair, was known as The Eclipse to most people.
Odeai did not speak, instead she waited for her partner to do the speaking. To speak in the presence of Sovereign without having confirmation or having been questioned is a sign of disrespect. Almost as if it were a challenge— a threat.
“How is Zeriea?” Sovereign asked. She turned in her chair, swiveling to face Odeai who helped a confused look on her face. “I heard she was shot in the weapons testing room. I was wondering if she were okay.”
“Oh,” Odeai nodded, “yes she’s healing perfectly. Thank you for asking.”
“Of course. I worry about you and your people,” Sovereign sighed, “despite being so forgiving and non-biased they spread so much danger. Especially towards each other.” Odeai knew exactly what was going on. She’s heard this before, get your followers together, Hon, I don’t want anything to get in the way of the development of CCoR.
It’s always the same.
“I was just worried is all,” Sovereign said, not continuing.
“Yes, Ma’am,” Odeai bowed her head, the only sign of respect people never see from her. Though calling Sovereign “ma’am” is the least bit respectful she did not care.
Sovereign gave her a disapproving look, “sir” would be a much better title for her. But she guessed it was dependent on the identity her fellow gods gave her. Syzeyar knows better than to call Sovereign Ma’am, instead he calls her Sir or Lord or even just by her name which was also suitable.
“Odeai, I would like you to stay in the western medical wing today,” Sovereign said, “we have hunters going down to Rahl’s surface today and we need a healer like you to stay at your designated station just in case we have any inconveniences.”
“Yes Ma’am,” Odeai nodded.
“Thank you, you may go now. Lunch will be served soon, you may go grab it and eat at your station.”
Odeai left with no more words. She was starting to think that Sovereign’s title was getting to her head. She thought she could control everyone with just a snap of her fingers with no consequences. She gave no power or right to her or Syzeyar, she kept it all to herself.
She is no god.
Sovereign sat at the large, oval-shaped table, the farthest end closer to the lunch line. Small chatter accompanied her while she ate dinner in silence. Syzeyar had stayed in his office to fix some issues with the electrical system while Odeai stayed at her post. Niseai, Syzeyar’s most trusted follower, was still out hunting. He had sent a message earlier that the team would be up later than usual due to the lack of cattle lately. Or at least what he calls cattle as predatory animals are what’s mostly left on Rahl.
“Eating alone today?”
Sovereign looked up from her plate to blankly stare at her champion, Torea, who sat down next to her. “Syzeyar is busy fixing technical issues while I sent Odeai off to her station,” Sovereign answered.
“That makes sense,” Torea chuckled, but then stopped short. “Hey… I noticed that Odeai has been acting a bit odd lately.”
“I have as well.” Sovereign went back to slowly eating her salad which was honestly all she ate nowadays—fruits and salads.
“You know why?”
“I suspect she is questioning why I’m the one with the higher power.”
“You sure?” Torea asked, mouth full of a sandwich.
“We have a mental link, Hon,” Sovereign sighed, “Its not powerful enough to know exactly what she’s thinking, but I can still tell what she’s thinking by using the context of her tone and whatnot.”
“Ah.”
“Yo, wassup,” someone laughed and threw himself in the chair next to Sovereign who was not phased by her odd partner.
“Hello, Syzeyar,” Sovereign smiled lightly. “I see you finished fixing—”
“I did, yes,” Syzeyar smiled, interrupting his partner.
“Of course. How did it go?”
He sighed, “It was an easy fix, apparently the southern quadrant was freaking out over nothing.”
“Isn’t that the lobby?” Torea asked.
“Indeed,” Syzeyar snorted,”you weren’t over there?”
Torea shook her head, “No I was in weapons testing today.”
“How come?”
Torea shrugged, “Just to hang out. I had nothing to do.”
“I’ll have to change that,” Syzeyar smirked, “I have a few blueprints I’d like you to review and work out for me.”

Odeai’s here. I like her design now better than before.
Odeai isn’t entirely a fan favorite with the three gods. She seems to always be hiding something, especially from Sovereign. She doesn’t speak much to Syzeyar and when she does her voice is laced with venom.
The colony has started to believe that Odeai’s salt towards her partners is from going through a divorce with Sovereign, seeing as the two used to be married before creating the colony.
Hope y'all like her as much as I do. Or at least design wise. She’s an interesting character honestly.
Odeai is the Goddess of Healing and the alternate of Ianite. Odeai is the silent type, she never really speaks to anyone and is known for wandering the colony in silence. It's hard to get her attention in any situation as she'll always be lost in her own thoughts. However when she does speak, people have described her voice like honey; very sweet. Or even like the ocean waves. In fact, Odeai is a sweet woman and would do anything to help anyone. She usually hangs around the medical rooms and nurseries. She can be kind of judgmental, but she doesn't mean to come off as rude. Odeai isn't responsible for much of anything important but she's a good support system for the colony and the two other gods who run it. She sees Syzeyar and Soveriegn as her brothers despite being nowhere related to them. She's also not one to show off her powers, but when someone is in trouble (no matter their alignment) she'll bust out her powers and do what she can to protect the people of the colony.
