- I can’t comment on the Into or Outro or band member intro for reasoms stated above, but from what I’ve seen they look soooooo gooooooddd 😭😭😭

- I’ve seen what CONNECT;COMMUNE, Kimagure Mercy, 2D dream fever, DECORATOR, caged flower and Koi wa Sensou’s new backdrops look like a little bit! (Though I’ve seen multiple for connect commune 😨) That’s also Kinda the order of how much I like them too. I bet 39’s will just be a big timer behind miku tbh and Raspberry Monster is highly intriguing me since it already kinda has a backdrop? If they put her in the bright Prodiva X Raspberry Monster land LIVE ON STAGE everyone’s eyes will burn. Also I’m surprised sweet magic didn’t get anything.

- I would also like to address the Mesmerizer in the room, or I suppose, the lack thereof. I think this means we will probably never get it live again, since I’m sure lots were hoping it’d be very weird to suddenly do it after revealing tgat it’s a possible performance and then not doing in the place that would love it most asap. Unless it’s taking them longer than expected to get permission, or maybe they’re just going to give it an an insane backdrop (basically the MV onstage), which they may also need channel’s permission for. I don’t think it’ll ever be possible though. Even so, I hope it performs at miku expo before mirai, and I also feel like we might see it in next years equivalent of BLOOMING, particularly if another Teto song is foreshadowed there, (or maybe just facade question somehow). I’ll throw out that I’d like it to be part of the encore in miku expo, but idk if enough people would stick around to see it, especially not knowing if it’d be there. I also wonder if they’d say explicitly if they could perform it/have Teto there, I think they should. But I doubt any of that is possible.

- speaking of the encore, I was surprised to see ODD&ENDS as the finale above connect commune, but I like that choice very much I have to admit! Mostly because theyd made connect commune so visually impressive. I’m not at all ungrateful tho! I presume they used the extended version of the ODDS&ENDS choreography that they used back in MM14 as the finale (the one on the albumin streaming services, with the really really long ending where she just runs around) ? I’m not sure though, since I presume there’s a speech after that (I hope she says the thing!), I know they haven’t made a new version with a new model of it at least (I would hate that), but I don’t know if theyve just re-recorded the end? Maybe there was a speech in the MM14 version and they’re just putting a different voiceover on it? That doesn’t feel possible? Idk. Oooo and, I’ve heard all of them appear at the end? But I’ve also seen a video showing all the silhouettes, so it might just be that? Voca wiki doesn’t say anything about a speech or the others appearing or any changes to ODDS&ENDS, and I feel like the finale will be different in the Europe tour (I’ll post about that ofc), so it might take me ages to find out, oh nuo

SETLIST:

Teo - yeaaaahhhhhh I should have expected that one, and as the opener, definitely when they remade it last year. I feel like this sets the theme of “we are once again honouring the fallen concert and giving you all the songs you should have gotten then” which must have felt so cool watching it happen, the stress of the song really tightens that too! Even if the reliance on EU 20 was a bit disappointing (Karma 😭 how I miss you). I guess I was also expecting something that fit the theme more? It’s a great pick tho. I wonder how blue the performance was. Kinda upset that this one didn’t get new effects or a new backdrop, I hope it did and just that voca wiki didn’t tell me lol.

The fancy rotating three - OH HELL YEAH THIS IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING! ME WHEN A SETLIT ROTATES OOOOOOOO~ I really like this, the rotations of 24 were all just miku expo themes and contest winners, which was executed greatly with the songs they bunched together, but you can’t deny that THIS is way cooler. Not only a special rotating outfit set but a special backdrop set??? As the second song? It’s so good. Idk if I would have picked these three all together as if they’re entirely equivalent to each other, or if I would have put them with different rotations in their specific setlists (I was thinking Kimagure shpuld have been with darling dance or whatever but also I like the diversity of songs in each setlist? Idk), regardless, god these are so good. I’m definitely gonna draw them all together at some point 💖

Kimagure Mercy: I haven’t seen any of them but HANDS DOWN THE BEST VISUALLY, and the one I’ve seen the most footage of because of that probably. I’ve been dreaming of a Kimagure that looks like this for forever, just the MV in front of the audience. It’s so peak. If the rotations stay in EU, this is probably the one I’ll be seeing, and though 2D and raspberry are way more important to me and I’ll be very sad to miss them, i will enjoy this one because it looks so great. This Kimagure Mercy is what the gods intended Y’know.

2D Dream Fever: Very happy to see! So excited to see if they reference the special effect from prodiva for if you hit the rainbow notes in the new backdrop, thatll be what makes it better than Kimagure hehe. It looks just like the original MV from what I’ve seen as well. Very happy to see her return from BLOOMING too, and she goes so well after Teo with that same sort of stress.

Raspberry Monster: This is my favourite of the three, also the most theme-fitting, and I don’t have the slightest idea what they’ll do with it. The other two mimicked the original MVs but the additions to raspberry monster live that already exist don’t seem to follow that? I bet she’ll have the 6AM and 9AM behind her, I can’t remember if that was always in the live version aaaa- next up!

The Miku rotating three: two rotating sets together again! This time with a normal miku. These three are songs that Id want to see in any miku expo, I’m glad they used this space wisely. I suppose it would have been cool to have a different model for each song but we don’t have the old 3D one anymore and it’d be weird to put a classic with a bunch of newbies. It’s just… are they equivalent? I was thinking maybe they wanted three miku songs in different colours (culture can have red lights and darling dance can have pink) but solar system disco is too rainbow to me hehe. Also culture has special background addition (it always has) whereas the others domt as far as I’m aware? I hope they do, I’m just not sure where theyd be.

Culture: so good to see the culture shock song in miku expo once again!

Darling Dance: a BIG one for the Kairiki bear fans, I’m sure it’s a crowd pleaser. Just like culture, I suppose they could add something to the backgroud of it in the bridge. I’ll check if they did in Asia, but I don’t think so.

Taiyoukei Disco: as much as I’d love to hear jirai miku live in the last one, this one’s totally my favourite of the three. I hope the potential addition could be some paper nayutalianlings popping out from the side of the screen clapping and singing with the audience participation bits! It’s so iconic it’s a must, now that we have an LED screen, I’m surprised there wasn’t anything like that in Esper Esper in Pokemiku, but that’s probably because there’s a damn lot going on in Esper Esper-

HIASOBI - helllll yeaahhhhh you gotta have a pink one in every concert, bonus that it’s camellia and pjsk related, but less people than I expected know of it from what I’ve seen. This should definitely come to EU (please). I hope everyone enjoyed miku on the floor 💖 I ALSO HOPE THEYVE GOT THAT BUMPY SWINGY SILLY BASS LIKE IN MIRAI 24 AW HELL YEAH 💖💖💖 such a banger of a song

World’s end dancehall - and this is the part where we get all confused, thinking ‘does this mean no rolling girl?’ And yes, it does mean no rolling girl ig. Great pick for a Miku and luka song tho? I mean none of the others are really like this one are they. And goodness it’s an incredible song. Also it’s better for me personally since I would not be able to handle watching rolling girl live (like my third favourite vocaloid song ever, even tho my second favourite is also in this setlist aaaa). I’ve seen clips of this one and GOD the stage design looks so good, remind me of the project diva MV (the good one). Edit: I realised maybe they did this instead of Rolling girl since they want to carry over the majority of this setlist to Europe, and rolling girl already played there in 2020? Idk I mean it’s probably the best Miku Luka song to choose. I feel like they should have done it during the 10th anniversary Tbf, it was one of the first ever songs to perform outside of Japan (I think) and did so with a god damn English version, which I’m sure we’ll never see again hehe.

Oh god TYQOON I’m gonna have to make another post I’m sorry (I’m not sorry). But to keep it short for this post, I just think it’s a strange choice considering Watashi no koi wa hellfire is RIGHT THERE and is VERY POPULAR. Nice to bring attention to a variety of Meiko song that I don’t feel many people know about tho.

OOOOOO ITS TIME FOR THE ROTATING KAGAMINE THREE~ : easy way to get all these songs that needed to be played in NA played hehe, I don’t think they’re exactly equal to eachother, esp Roki since it’s lacking a special outfit- but does anyone really care? Any kagamine duet will pop off because it’s both of the kagamines! We love those dudes! Theyve all got that audience participation. I know bring it on has added visuals (the words on screen at some parts), I think they added that to Roki in Asia last year, and 8HIT has a banger of an intro as well as Rin doing a cartwheel and new modules made solely for the performance, so I don’t think it needs anymore than that lol. I also love the variety of these three! I can’t pick a favourite haha. I also love the placement! Everyone would expect Kaito next or at least another solo but nope 💛

Rettou Joutou - I REALLY HOPE THEY BROUGHT BACK THE TRANSITION INTO THIS SONG ITS SO COOL

8HIT - I always love the Rainbow lights when they do this song, I hope the incredible staging delivers!

Roki - BOYS BE AMBITIOUS LIKE THIS OLDER MAN

Super Nuko ni narenkatta - HOLY UNEXPECTED?? MAFUMAFU?? maybe I should have seen this coming but I thought for a really long time I’d never see it in the west (Maybe because it’s not really a duet or a solo too?) I don’t really know this song very well for that reason! But god it’s a banger, I’m usually busy appreciating the dance and the Kagamine’s interactions (my favourite bit is where Len grabs onto Rin! I can’t wait to see that live, she’s so cute!) I really like their outfits here, but I always find it silly that they’re so obviously talking about being supercats while dressed as horses. My uma musume sister will love that. Also I’ve gotta say, I , personally, am fine with this as a/instead of Len solo, it’s very funny to me. And I love Rin so much, I’m happy to see more of her!

Sweet Magic: yayyyyyy! just really happy to have this song in the concert abput candy tbh, as well as it finally coming to NA. I should have predicted it as soon as the theme for this comcert was announced ig, but I was expecting them to do newer songs for the solos. I wonder if the band members will imitate Rin’s walk again (maybe they should tweak it so it looks a bit less controversial-). I love this song a lot, it’s pretty important to be, so I’m a bit sad that it’ll probably be replaced in the Europe tour (it’s already played there in 2020) but I’m excited to see what will take its spot! Something else classic? Something with another outfit?

Amazing Dolce: LETS GOOO????? hell yeah ANOTHER ONE I SHOULD HAVE EXPECTED WAY SOONER IG. GOOODDDDDDD I love this song, very important to me, I bet it’ll come to Europe too (I feel it also fits the steampunk vibe?). I have a feeling a lot of people either didn’t know this one, didn’t know the full version, or didn’t know it could be done live, so I’m glad it’s getting exposure! Everyone better know it as much more than just the song where Meiko shakes her tits. SO EXCITED about that btw lmao can’t wait to see what the audience does, I’m so happy it’s going around the world yoooooo this is crazy this is so epic. I’ll even let Rin wear the sane outfit twice in a row lol, honestly it’s pretty cool and smart like she was ready before the rest of them. Also I wanna remind you that it’s pronounced doll-chay <3 mwahaha

Caged flower: and suddenly kaito is here! Finally lol. I’m gonna yap about the additional flowers above the blue man in this song with my tyqoon issues aside first. I was wondering if it was to spread out the performance since I think the dance is intended for a smaller stage? I was also thinking it might be because Yomau silhouette (Meiko’s song from blooming, paralelling this one) had a new outfit as well as onscreen confetti, so they spruced this one up to make those two equal? I always assumed the made Yomau special in the first place to make up for whatever the hell kaito got during Call!! lol (a chair and an attitude ig, iykyk). Should we expect Yomau next in Europe then? It’s been done on a bigger(?) stage before so it’s possible, but they also might newly spruce up another Meiko song to make up for it. I hope they choose hellfire most of all!

As for caged flower itself, I’m pretty proud. I hope they didn’t just add those visuals because they were worried the song would be boring without them. It’s great, it’s nostalgic, it shows a type of Kaito song that is so integral to him and I’m glad he’s showing that around the world, its like in the spirit of Pane Dhira and Sennen no Dokusouku! Those would be good rotations for this in future legs of the tour, though I would love for this classic to go around the world and become the new (old) literacy, I’m hoping kaito doesn’t do the same song in every location AGAIN- but… it would be funny…. And this song is very cool… and they must have spruced it up for a reason…

Kamippoi na: FINALLY! Both for this song itself and for a PinocchioP song in NA, it had to be this one! I don’t know if I should have been surprised this wasn’t in 2024 (could have been perfect in place of vampire) but I’m glad it’s come at a better time lol. Certain they’d bring this to Europe too, since it’s so popular and kind of goes with europe’s theme to me? meaning Miku will say GOD IS DEAD in German in Germany- Very excited for the crowd during this one! I love PinoP!

Koi wa Sensou: holy MOLY UNEXPECTED! LIKE ACTUALLY SERIOUSLY WHAT? LOVE IS WAR OVER ROLLING GIRL???

Ngl I was kinda hoping they’d give this one the Hajimete no Koi treatment, and have miku perform the whole song clawing and climbing around a big loudspeaker platform like in the MV (after seeing what they did with happiness and peace of mind last year it seemed extremely possible) as well as bringing back the fakeout intro from one of her first concerts (where the song starts without her onscreen, mutes and suddenly plays war sirens before she comes in and does THE SCREAM). To see this song back now sadly crushes those dreams I feel, but it’s better that it returns in MIKU EXPO than any other old typical Miku concert. I’m thrilled, and maybe I should have seen it coming with the industrial background of the Europe Tour’s visuals, as well as the visuals of connect commune (loudspeaker platform architecture ig). I’m sure this’ll come to Europe.

I can’t comment much on the visuals behind Miku, trying to to spoiler myself, but it’s just a bunch of static speakers right? I wish they were bigger and that miku could interact with them (a remake of the performance). Still it’s better than nothing, and it’s what this song deserves. I know they won’t bring back that epic intro or do the full song either :( but if they somehow and for some reason do don’t spoil me hehe. Dang I’m getting my hopes too high. I’ve already seen that she doesn’t wear the punk outfit. I don’t see why she couldn’t have though? I think the new background behind her still should have worked with that.

They could have brought back anything else from the Giving’s day Era concerts, unfortunately I’m not as versed in those as I’d like to be so I can’t give examples, but I will once I am! I doubt any of them are as iconic as Love is war though. I’m not that against having two Ryo songs in the same concert again either, it makes the surprise of ODDS&ENDS at the end even more unexpected, and beautiful <3

Tsugihagi staccato: another happily unexpected one! I never expected patchwork staccato to be done live in the first place. After it played in Asia I should have known it’d go worldwide haha. I’m excited to see the glowstick colours along with what the crowd does too. I wonder what the rendition is like this time. It’s a good classic to include and also a great time to calm down after love is war, though I might have put it somewhere else. It’s pretty important to me, not as much as the others, but it might make me she’d a tear, if I’m not swept away by how simplistically beautiful this song is. I bet everyone will love it!

Room for a fantasy: I’ve already made a post with my general opinions on this song, I can say it’s grown on me a bit since then. This is the first song in the concert with new choreography too, as the first new song in the concert ig so that’s obvious but anyway. I’ll love the performance because of that regardless. I don’t even know what model it’s using (compare this to when MCLS live happened, I got spoiled for that more than anything else!). I expect it to be the most recent one (making it the first Miku Expo contest winner to use that one I believe?) but I would love to see the main prodiva x one, it’d make it feel like it’s on the same rank as the older ones, which I would like because it reminds me most of those (ig because it’s in English and sounds just like typical miku English songs hehe. Also because it’s producer has been in this fandom for long time, so I believe it’s what they’d want to). I’m also interested to see if it has any cool effects like ten thousand stars and blue star had! With all their new capabilities demonstrated by connect commune and all the other new songs, I’d be surprised not to see something like that! I just don’t what specifically they’d go for… I just hope it’s something!

the three rotating Lukas - This is a rare time where character’s solo set rotates! And I think Luka is the best pick for such. Can’t say the same about the songs themselves… wanderlast is so incredible, not just because this is its debut, honestly I think they should have played it at every location. But Someday’z coming deserves going to America a lot too, it’s showstopping. And then there’s a song that I just can’t get myself to really care about as much as I should, Never Die. Maybe it’s because its performance is decently bland from what I’ve seen. None of these can be seen as equal. They also bring starkly different energy to me. I’m surprised they didn’t go with Interviewer or No Logic, they’re classics and haven’t been done in NA. I’m not sure if those exact rotation will come to Europe since we already had Never Die in 2020. I’d love to see Hello new world and batsubyou, but I think theyll just replace Never Die with something else. And wouldn’t it be funny if it were Maga Maga…

Someday’z coming: If these three come to Europe this is the one I’ll be seeing as my comcert is the first location, this performance shook me when I first saw it, so it’d be nice to relive that. I could honestly cry to this one live. I’m excited to see the rendition (I wonder if they’ll keep the strings), the lights/visuals, and how everyone reacts to what looks like Luka giving us the middle finger before headbanging.

Never Die: probably one of the songs in miku live that I’m least familiar with, I wasnt expecting it.

Wanderlast: obviously the best one of the bunch. It doesn’t feel like it’s designed to ever actually play live, so I’m interested to see how it’ll work and what the crowd will think. Especially when she dies(?) (idk the lore) and the song ends abruptly 💖 I wonder how she’ll leave the stage… it’s so great that it’s finally performed, esp considering the anniversary version of it came out recently, closer to this miku expo than any other I believe. Fitting!

Drop pop Candy: CALLED IT! YEEEEESSSSSSSS HAHAHAHAHAAA. I’ve already seen people making undertale jokes. God that must have been an experience. And bro IMAGINE if we got this and Karma in the same concert… I love the dance for this one, I’m excited to see what the crowd does, and the visuals and lighting. I’m pretty sure this will come to Europe, unless it’s replaced by El Tango Egoista, with the following song being replaced by a Rin and Miku song? Idk how theyll work around give the loids equal screen time considering Supercat esp lol. But yeah. Perfect song for this concert, I think I’ve said before I bet they picked this as the theme to do this song.

Ohedo Julia Night: WHEEEEYYYYYYY BANGER ALERT. This must have looked so fun, I didn’t predict it but I really should have. They had to do a Mitchie M song. I don’t think this’ll come back to Europe, but I also have no clue what could replace it. Very excited to see footage. I also quite like the placement on this concert, the visual intro and outro going into the screen popping off for the band member introduction is pretty smart too, also as from now on all the songs feel like finale numbers kinda.

(Moment of silence for the band member introduction that I’m sure is amazing but I can’t see/hear it because of spoilers… and a moment of appreciation for the amazing band themselves!)

M@GICAL⭐️CURE! LOVE💖SHOT! - doing this after the band member intro is such a good move! I’ve seen that the lighting during the miku miku beam bit is amazing too, it’s all green! Unfortunately this isn’t exactly my over hopeful hopes for MCLS this year, and doing it after Making Room for a fantasy really makes MRFAF look dull in comparison I fear. But this is still great! I’m happy it came back in the first place, it’s a necessity. I wonder if this’ll be the last Miku Expo world tour it’ll be in fpr a while, and even if it will go to Asia again next year, considering the lack of past miku expo related songs in this concert. This is the only one I’m pretty sure! I’ve got to love it for being there in the first place, EVSN while missing all it’s old friends 😭

And now for my least favourite song in the setlist, Catch the Wave.

Mostly just out of confusion why the hell this song was done in the first place, and also at EVERY LOCATION nonetheless (also because I’m terrible at perfecting its chart in prodiva lol) I was expecting it to be replaced with sekai and something else? Sekai would have been a much better choice? People care way more about pjsk than prodiva? Is there anything memorable or important about its performance?

This, with 39 and maybe even ODDS&ENDS later, as well as Yume Yume a while a go in BLOOMING, (but mostly this) could be hinting towards the return of project diva… which is extremely unlikely but it’s also the only way I like this choice in the setlist. I mean, maybe it’s refreshing to some to hear now after a while? Maybe it’s celebrating Mega Mix on pc?

Most likely, it’s that a song about a world tour (the PV in prodiva) is actually going on a world tour. Which is cool ig. But it doesn’t make me lose all my hatred for this song because I’m a sweaty gamer who can’t perfect it somehow, even though it’s a relatively easy song. But also like, sekai is RIGHT THERE. And sekai means WORLD Y’know.

If only they added a cool backgroud and visuals mirroring the prodiva MV… that would have made it cool… I’ll have to see if they doing anything with the screens around the main one ig.

shake it! - QUITE POSSIBLY THE BEST WAY TO BRING BACK MY ENTHUSIASM AWWW HELL YEAH. I don’t know where to even begin, I mean we all knew it was coming, it was probably the most hoped-for song for miku expo ever and I’m so glad it’s finally possible. It’s crazy to imagine a world where this was always going to be exclusive to mirai. I’m so excited to see the visuals and the crowd and the instrumentals! I wonder if there will be a mirrorball! I even want confetti lol but that’s not gonna be the case. This is so good it could be the finale to me! I know all the lyrics to this one! I’ve cried to it a lot too, I think it is indeed one of my biggest dreams to see this live. Safe to say it’s definitely going around the world (idk if I’ve clarified but wgen I say this I mean that it’s coming to Europe as well, potentially Australasia and China and rest of Asia if the specific song hasn’t already played there, silly clarification ig but I don’t like saying ‘world’ when it’s not really around the world fully is it :(),This could be the the next tell your world even, though I’m sure after this round it’s going to have a big break in performing. Love you, shake it! I’m gonna cheer with orange! 🧡🩵💛 though I’ve thought about starting with green and changing as they sing their solos, then turning off and going back to orange asap. I think Rin deserves more love in that song hehe.

39 - a strange but appreciated pick indeed! I never actually expected to be hearing this one live. As I said, it’s the only one where I don’t know the background additions, but I bet it’ll be a timer, like in project diva. Maybe the colour or background will change when the timer hits 3:39 (the end of the song). I know quite a lot of the lyrics to this one too. It’s just hard for it to shine next to shake it! But I’m still excited to see what they do with it since it’s unexpected as I said. Tbf I can’t be sure if it’ll cone to Europe, but it should be, idk what could replace it and why if theyve made a new backgroud. Maybe it’ll be earlier on like Lucky Orb last Europe Expo? Idk. I’m surprised to find it never played in Thunderbolt or Blooming too. I would have preferred one of those theme songs personally, I’d love to hear Overflower, since I feel like the Japan tours I still technically Miku Expos. Sorry, unrelated. Lots of songs I associate with Project Diva here btw, I think I’ve already said that ahhh sorry.

I saw the thumbnail expecting to for it to be a performance of a song, I’ve seen pretty much all dances so I figured it wouldn’t be much of a spoiler, boy was I wrong.

Turns out to be in the middle of the speech! Dang! But I really want to hear that stupid phone as the blasphemy that interrupted Hatsune Miku WHILE she’s speaking. And alright here’s the part where I am silly because I know there are way more important things to comment to (aforementioned phone moment) BUT LIKE. MIKU. SHE SAID SOMETHING LIKE “every connection is special, from the ones that go way back, to the ones that were made here today!” AND I JUST WANNA- LIKE-

HATSUNE MIKU CARES ABOUT THE NEWGENS?? POSITIVELY??

This just in: Hatsune Miku says ITS OKAY to go to a vocaloid concert even if you don’t know crap about vocaloid!

I know it’s probably not intentional but vocaloid is one of the biggest fandoms known to have this old gen vs newgen debate. A lot of this setlists panders towards to old gen over the newgen too, but that’s possibly because it doesn’t seem crypton are interested adding songs that already have a fanbase into the live dimension, like, if they were going to do Rabbit Hole they would have done it already. So I hope Miku saying this didn’t cause anyone to bat an eye. Almost like she’s mediating, she says they’re all as important as eachother! And I just think that’s pretty neat. I also wonder if it was because there’s been quite a lot of really young fans attending Miku Expo as of late, more than ever I feel, which I have mixed feelings on.

I don’t really care much for the argument on either side, I prefer old gen songs, but I joined the fandom in 2019 idrk where that puts me. But I wouldn’t be surprised if this was crypton’s tiny little way of acknowledging one of the (unfortunately) biggest parts of vocaloid culture at the moment. A sentence comparing the two. Very interesting. It also fits the theme of connect commune pretty well too, going beyond time and space Y’know, but that’s obvious, like yeah it would, it’s the speech before connect commune.

Unnecessary ramble over, I know I want to break down this speech and any possible deeper meaning behind what they chose to make Miku say around the world when I’ve been to my concert and can hear it properly. Of course, that is not at all the most interesting part of the MC, though. This is akin to when her microphone broke at KODO! It’s pretty major! The second ever time Miku’s words have been interrupted I’m pretty sure! I am, of course, talking about that darn telephone.

As the speech goes on, I heard that vibration, and the angry reaction of the crowd that followed it but BOY I cANT EXPRESS TO YOU HOW MY HEART JUMPED WHEN THE GIRL HERSELF HATSUNE MIKU REACTED TOO IT TOO.

I THOUGHT IT WAS THE PHONE OF THE PERSON RECORDING??? HOLY IMMERSION???

“Did y’all hear that? :3” DOES THE POPE POOP IN THE WOODS, MIKU?

She’s so cute, I’m gonna die. Hatsune Miku, not the pope.

I clicked off the video right away. As there are ENDLESS OPPORTUNITIES and NONE OF THEM ARE LIKELY but I still want to IMAGINE them ANYWAY. I am very excited over who Miku (presumably) got this call/notification from. How will they play this bit??? What if it’s Teto lmao (it’s not). IS THERE GONNA BE A GIANT NOTIFICATION ON THE SCREEN OR ON THE SCREEN ABOVE HER? Will she use HER HEADSET AGAIN FINALLY?? Will miku get out her PHONE? Will it be SCARLETT JOHANSSON???

I mean even if it’s just supposed to be someone from the audience I can still imagine that it’s Teto or Scarlett Johansson or the pope Y’know. It’ll most likely be nothing, but second most likely is the other cryptonloids. I’d love to hear them, and in the song itself too. Maybe even say them with the power of WINDOWS like I mentioned in that post. I’ve heard that they all appear at the end and I’ve seen footage of just their silhouettes and that’s probably all it is (there’s also decorator ig) but I can hope!

I’m also predominantly VERY EXCITED for how this bit will play into CONNECT COMMUNE which DOES have a vibration sound at the start AND an OUTFIT to change into ANDD confirmed background visuals which I’m only 83% sure is just the MV behind her. I wonder if it’s even just one vibration? Will it continue until the start of the song, will it build up until the intro starts and then it all quiets again to be like how it was before but now with a “Hi there! It’s Miku :3 can we connect?”? Or will it go straight into “Hi there! It’s Miku :3 can we connect?” But then how will she change outfits???

With that sort of said and vaugely done, it brings us perfectly into the theme of this concert, and THE most exciting performance so far!

CONNECT:COMMUNE - I’ve already made a post about my hopes and dreams for this performance, but I have to say I like what I’ve seen with the visuals so far, I’m very impressed. The only issue is Miku having a visible mouth ig lol. I’ve seen pictures that look just like the MV, pictures tgat don’t, and pictures where the screen behind her is just black as normal. My biggest hope is that she pops out from the side of a window like clippy! I can’t say much more about it than the telephone bit and that I know it has visuals because I haven’t seen it of course. I’m also very excited for it musically! Both with how it starts and if it incorporates the vibration, and with how it’ll end, and how Miku will say goodbye and how there will be a musical flourish as usual. I wonder if there will be something on the screen saying last song again or if Miku will tell us or what. It’ll be cool to see a dance or pose that references all the key visuals for every leg of the tour, even the Asia and Australasia ones there might be that we haven’t seen yet!

Since I’m pretty sure the MV is behind her, I wonder if this sets a record for all Miku Expo themes in the future to have a special, potentially 3D animated MV to do the same! I really hope to see artists like STANN.co and Vippori! I suppose they don’t have to be 3D either, which opens us to even more possibilities. I also want to say I hope for this to only be the case for the Main theme, and not the random separate theme that I exoect Asia to get. If they get a new outfit and song specific to them I think they don’t get to have a new MV behind Miku, but the previous theme of all the other legs (America, Europe and Australasia) play. I think this is a good way to make all the tours equal.

Also, having visuals/Miku in outfits that she doesn’t have to perform in might allow for even crazier outfits, but more importantly to me, different builds and body types, and maybe even skin colours! since the Miku doesn’t need to perform at all, she’s not confined to needing to look like the cannon miku. This could be very exciting! Very unlikely though :( .

The last thing I can say about this performance is its placement in the setlist. This is the second time in a row that the theme for a specific concert isnt used as the actual finale for the concert, after the encore. Idk if it really is that Connect Commune doesn’t feel enough like a finale song (which I mentioned in my post. It’s interesting if the commissioned themes are requested to be good for the finale and whether it’s up to the producer with how they make the song sound, it feels like the theme was last used as the last song in BLOOMING which was a while back- sorry that’s all unrelated and I’m getting sidetracked) if this will continue, or what.

What follows this is Artifact (I should have segwayed when talking about Asia theme songs whoops) which everyone should have been expecting to play anyway, it’s strange that they chose to make it seem like it wouldn’t play at all, but i supoose gives you something in the encore that you know you can wait for. Using it in such a big place twice really emphases the unexpected importance of it, and kinda makes other/previous themes pale in comparison :(((. But it’s still a banger, and if it wasn’t in this concert I WOULD have rioted.

Artifact - whoops I’ve said pretty much everything about this song that I can already. Uhhhh excited to see the crowd and the band and the visuals! I wonder how it’ll differ from its last performance. And how the band will build up an intro during the encore of course!

DECORATOR - I often find this pick a little funny, since it’s continuously used as the “oh my god they’re all onstage together song” and theyve still been doing it frequently despite there being many other songs now where they’re all onstage. It’s cool that they get to use the surprise of it in different locations where they previously never would have been able to before, I don’t know if they ever thought they’d be having full sized stages at Miku Expo. And yeah, if any song was gonna show them all together around the world, it’d be this one. It’s also a pretty good encore song, like it’s sort of emotional and chill, like an after party type song. Idk what I mean. Cyan Blue has the sane feeling to me. I know a lotof the lyrics too! I’ll definitely be singing along.

As for the new visuals, when I told my dad about the cityscape (using an example for the changes made to certain songs) he suggested that there could be different cityscapes for different locations, which I don’t expect to ever see, but it would have been a really cool idea, and is now a missed opportunity. It could also explain why on Earth they put a city in front of decorator specifically? (Since they were already definitely doing decorator) They could have somehow imitated the project diva MV, and intergalactic bound for instance deserves a city way more. Im not complaining though, it’s just a bit funny.

I haven’t seen them properly, in fact I can’t even remember if they’re there while it’s just miku, I wouldn’t be surprised, it’s a way to keep the song intetesting while everyone’s waiting for the others.

I wonder if Asia will miss out on these cool visuals since they had DECORATOR last time without them… hmmm

I’ve just had a fun idea about cheering for this song, specifically the light stick colours. Maybe I’ll record it and post it hehe. I wonder if I’ll see people confused on why it’s just Miku and changing when they think the others will appear (at around the same times they do in project diva), or if people will start off the song repping the favourites because they know whats coming. I also wonder if anyone will go for white because they can’t pick a favourite haha.

And now, for my second favourite vocaloid song ever…. ODDS&ENDS…

I don’t actually have much to say on this that I’ve not already said, other than that I am devastated that it’s probably not coming to Europe, since it performed there in 2020, even though it probably will come to Australasia and Asia (though maybe only as a daily? Idk) afterward. The only reason I like Kokoro more than this one is because without that I wouldn’t be into vocaloid. But I feel like without this song I wouldn’t even be alive. I’m crying thinking about it now…

To be fair, with my last experience at Miku Expo I’m kind of glad, I couldn’t get myself to cry, which isn’t right as someone who’s as big of a Miku fan and specifically a Miku concert fan as me. If I don’t cry at this song, especially seeing it LIVE, I’ll be the most numb person ever and completely unsalvagable. But like. I will also probably just be very dehydrated (again). And if I do cry, it’ll probably turn into sobbing and I have no idea how I’ll be able to go home after that. Esp since it’s the finale (the perfect finale, might I add) and thdn Hatsune Miku and her friends will just GO and not be able to comfort me but it’s okay ig they’ll need to be comforting Eachother after such a song, mostly miku. I will not be able to handle Miku saying she’s worthless right there in front of me live. It’s like how I’m glad they didn’t play Kokoro in Europe when they played it in the leg (Australasia) directly after.

This is a different version of ODDS&ENDS, it might even be new and updated, so who knows… I’ve got many ideas for what could replace it though, dw, they might be posted in a main post or in a seperate general post predicting the Europe set. Boy, I have many ideas…

One of the best things about this song is how you can hear people start to sob as soon as it plays in live recordings, and how most of the comments in most of the uploads are about how this song has saved people. I thank it with my life.

Uh and then there’s the mysterious ending that I dont know anythibg about ooooo. Idk if I’m gonna say goodbye to them each as their spirits zoom off (to Brussels) like I usually do. Then I will (hopefully) cry, regardless if ODDS&ENDS was there. Then connect commune will probably start playing and I’ll go HI THERE! ITS MIKU :3 CAN WE CONNECT? And it’ll be funny and all will be Miku (adj) with the world.
