Learning about tornadoes in meteorology class today, watched a video of a storm chaser following a huge one. and goddamn, there is nothing like extreme weather to put the fear of god in you- not even a specific god, but forces so great and terrible and beautiful and horrible, the great churning of air and water and pressure. Lightning flashing, great spiraling dark clouds, things ripped entirely from the ground and flung into the sky. I remember when I lived in a place where we had regular tornado warnings and severe thunderstorms, the idea of inescapable and impossibly powerful yet terrifyingly beautiful forces of nature... man im rambling but like. hm.
