Worst of 2018 TV Shows #3: Kakuriyo no Yadomeshi (Bed and Breakfast for Spirits) (FUNIMATION)

Anime for me has grown and gotten more complex over the years. A Premise can get you hooked to watch the story, or leave you reeling within the first five minutes. 

This however can share a common flaw with regular TV in the us, a great start that complies into a crashing halt that ruins the story no matter what the rest of  the narrative goes. 

One show this year did just that. Personally I hope there is a second season, cause if this is all there is...I can guarantee this will make my worst shows of the decade list a year from now. 

Aoi Tsubaki had been able to see ghosts since she was young, that results in her grandfather taking her in after being abandoned by her family. One day she is kidnapped by an Ogre and owner of an inn for spirits and monsters in another realm. Turns out she is turned over as collateral to pay off her Grandfathers massive tab. Refusing to Marry the ogre named Odanna she takes up residence in an abandoned part of the complex and together with a fox named Ginji takes to serving food to the guests. 

In 12 episodes you get to see the tension of her stigma wear off and her reputation grow among the Patrons, staff and owner of the Inn she comes to call home. You even wonder if shell actually get Stockholm Syndrome and fall for the ogre. 

But, the crashing halt occurs at the halfway point as Ginji turns out belongs to another Inn and is a fugitive. Aoi and Ginji are kidnapped and taken to said inn resulting her essentially to start the process from scratch. 

Well, i gave this 3 episodes before I gave up officially declaring The Endless Eight from Haruhi Suzumiya as vindicated. Anime's worst Arc is now the second half of this trainwreck. 

Like before I mentioned that this needs to get a second season, just to see Aoi’s story come to completion, cause if this is all there is, i can definitely call this one big waste of time. 

Keep In Mind this will get blow back i can tell, but like last year before i retconed myself with ST Discovery. I have an opinion and I keep this as such before you go all over me. 

Now i know how people who watched the finale of Seinfeld 20 Years Ago Felt.
